Description
One of the most common reasons for failing IT-projects is related to misunderstanding of what a system must do. This could easily be avoided if proper techniques are applied for eliciting requirements from relevant stakeholders. However, eliciting requirements may not be as easy as it sounds. It is imperative to use relevant techniques like interviews, questionnaires, and running workshops and brainstorming sessions. Once you know how to do this, eliciting requirements will become easier and IT-projects will start to be successful.
This training dives into requirement-characteristics and will take you through the process of eliciting requirements. It shows how to select relevant stakeholders and how to approach them. Then, this course will provide detailed information about several elicitation techniques, it will provide 'secrets' for running a successful workshop and it will show how traceability of requirements can be achieved by using the 'Requirements Pyramid'. Finally information will be provided for documenting requirements.
