How to : Crochet Snowflakes 101 + Crochet Basics

Raw 1 :

Ch. 3 , Make 1 Dc. Then ,

“Ch. 2 , 2 Dc.” Repaet this for 5 times

# You need 6 sets of 2 Dcs.

Then Ch. 2 , & Slip its. To 2nd Ch. at the beginning of the raw ..

Raw 2 :

Ch. 4 , then make a Sc. in the space .

& again Ch. 4 & repeat until you make 6 spaces of 4 Chs.

Then the last Sc. will be at the base of the 1st Ch. 4 …

Raw 3 :

Slip Sts. To the 1st space & Make Ch. 3 .

Then Make 6 Dcs in the same space .

Dc. In Sc from the previous raw.

In the next space , Make 7 Dcs. In the same space , then Dc. Above Sc. from the previous raw & repeat until you complete the raw , then Slip sts. To 3rd Ch.

Raw 4 :

Ch. 5 , Skip 2 Sts. , Then Make Sc. in 3rd Sts.

Then another 2 Scs. In the next 2 Sts.

Ch.2 , & in the Sts. Above the Dc. Above the Sc. from the previous raw , Make a Cluster of “ Dc. + 4 Chs. + Dc. “ all in the same Sts.

Then Ch. 2 , Skip 2 Sts. , 3 Scs. In the next 3 Sts. , & repeat until you complete the raw .

Then Slip Sts. To the 3rd Ch. from the 5 Chs. We made at the beginning of the raw.

Raw 5 :

Slip Sts. To the 1st space , then Ch.3 as a Dc.

Then make a incomplete Dc. , then skip the Scs you have , & Make 2 Dcs. In the next space ..

Then yarn over & go through all the loops on you hook .

Now you have a Nice Cluster of 4 Dcs. All together .

To make a “Picot” , Ch. 4 , then Slip sts. To 1st Ch. you make .

In Bigger Space , Dcs. 3 , then a Picot , then 3 Dcs. , Then 3 Picots above each other to make the point of our snowflake .

After finishing 3 picots , slip sts. to the 1st ch. from the 1st picot.

Then 3 Dcs. , Picot , 3 Dcs. , Picot , Then Make another Cluster of 4 Dcs. “ 2 Dcs. + 2 Dcs. “ all incomplete & yarn over & go through all the loops again

Now we finished the 1st Spike of our Snowflake .. Then repeat ..
