Two decades ago I needed help bad. I was a single mother in a tough place, suffering and unawake, taking out my anger on my daughter who was the love of my life, which killed me. In this video I share where the inspiration came from to start my journey toward finding, "inner peace."
In this sharing I offer you to journal and write down all the spaces and places that cause you stress, frustration (which is a form of anger), and outright losing it. In today's world it's easy to get triggered, but this is more about the trigger patterns. It's important to have awareness first so we can start to make changes.
Inner Peace is a precious jewel that is ours. It is a lot harder to change the outer world, but we can change our inner world. We all CAN make changes in our life, but WILL you.
In this video I share some of the ways I made adjustments to my life to create more calmness and peace in my life. A lot of this is common sense but sometimes we get stuck in a pattern or routine, and the obvious is not so obvious to us. The physical tangible changes are the easier adjustments; changing our inner world, mentally and emotionally is much more challenging. I also share how my inner turbulence hurt my daughter. Being a parent, especially a single parent is in my opinion one of the hardest jobs on the planet but the most important.
Now we are moving into the more challenging areas of maintaining our inner peace. I share a powerful story that helped me change my mental perspective and keep my inner peace.
Taking it back to the lighter side...Everything is energy. Some material things suck the energy out of you without you even being aware. I give examples on how to create a peaceful home even if you live in a small space.
In this video I share a powerful parable/poem that demonstrates the power of reframing and how can we access that mental/emotional state. I also share another parable/poem that can shift us from our angry judging mind to our compassionate kind mind.
In this video I share a technique to help you connect with your higher divine mind. Being able to connect to the "Observer Witness Awareness" is key to maintaining your inner peace, especially in more challenging situations with other people. The Untethered Soul, Michael Singer I suggest to read.
In this video I share how powerful it is to forgive, everyone and most importantly yourself. I also share an epiphany/visualization I had in the morning during my daily ocean swim. I recommend the book, The Little Soul and The Sun, by Neale Donald Walsch to help you with the BIG forgiveness.
This personal experience I had brought about instant healing in my neck! Also, Karma my four legged best friend, makes a guest appearance and blesses you with good Karma:)
Twenty two years ago I sat at the feet of a Buddhist Monk, Gen Togden, listening to what I thought was a class on parenting. It turned out it was mostly about inner peace. That was the first time I heard the term, "inner peace." I didn't know what that was and certainly didn't know how to obtain it. I was a wreck and my life was a mess. However, Gen Togden inspired me and I made a commitment to find inner peace no matter what. That was the start of my journey inwards. I am happy to report that at this time in my life I have inner peace but it did take me quite a few years to change my life. Changing habits and lifestyle and patterns is a process. In this course I will lead you through the steps I took and the changes I made that helped me to find inner peace. We will start with the tangible physical space, something that is more obtainable, then move inward toward the emotional and mental space. The most important take away from this entire course is that your perspective is what creates peace. If we want peace in the world we must have peace in our own hearts, minds and lives. The outer is a refection of the inner. Aho.
Peace Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen
