In this part of our app store marketing course, I show you how to do ASO keyword research. The keyword research I show here is with the Google Keyword Tool which is not necessarily part of app ASO, but it still translates well to the app stores. In fact, I prefer it to ASO keyword tools that are specific for app stores because those can sometimes be inaccurate since they don't actually have the real app store search data.
In this lecture of the ASO course I talk about how to do ASO keyword research. Later in the course I will show you how to actually do the keyword research by showing you two software tools. But for now I just explain the concept to help you understand exactly why ASO keyword research is important, and how you can do the keyword research for your app to make sure that you give your app the most potential to rank for relevant search terms that your potential customers or app users might be searching. App store keyword research is one of the most important topics in app store marketing. Also, quick note: when I say app store, I don't mean just the Apple App Store. I mean any app marketplace.
In the last lecture of our ASO course, we talked about doing ASO keyword research and in this lecture we talk about how to get your app to actually rank highly for those keywords, and how to move your app up in the rankings if it is not ranking highly.
