Hello and welcome to my course on how to create and use pivot tables.
What is a pivot table?
Pivot tables are a tool exclusive to Microsoft Excel, and they are extremely useful when dealing with large amounts of data. A pivot table is used to summarise a large amount of data into an easy-to-read table. You will find them an invaluable way to save time, and organise and present your data.
In this course, I will take you from the very beginning and show you exactly how to turn your data into a pivot table, enter useful tools like slicers and how to present your pivot table.
This course is for complete beginners as everything is explained fully and in simple-to-understand terms.
As with any Udemy course, you can ask questions if there is anything you're unclear about.
The project for this class is to take a screen shot of your newly created pivot table and upload it to the comments area for all students to admire. Additionally, you could give a brief explanation of anything you found particularly difficult as well as any other useful tips I might not have mentioned in this course.
