In total there are fifteen different modules and hours of tuition in this intense but fun course that will push your abilities like no other mediumship development course.
When considering the differences between the psychic and the medium, it may not be as clear cut as you might think.
Did you know there are different types of medium? Being a medium you can be pigeon holed very quickly, its too easy to say that you are a particular type of medium when a whole variety of phenomena and communication could take place. All mediums have the ability to communicate with those who have crossed over, but the way in which they do this can differ tremendously. Remember that a medium can transcend a number of these methods and during the course of your ongoing development new skills will come to the fore.
Mediumship is usually broken down into two areas, mental mediumship and physical mediumship, both are fairly self-explanatory, but we want to explain a little further.
In the previous section we mentioned the word “clairvoyant”, you've probably heard the word mentioned many times, but what are the 'clairs'?
When you see 'Clair-' it refers to the extra-sensory perceptions, those senses beyond our normal five senses. However these same 'normal' senses are utilised during the utilising of the clair- senses. A part of becoming a medium is recognising which of these extra senses are the most strongest in yourself.
This question like many others posed within this course have an answer that is based within the philosophical teachings of spirit.
Discipline is central to the development of mediumship, particularly when first starting out on your journey into mediumship. Emotions can rise and fall due in part to increased sensitivities to the “unseen” world around you, and coupled with the natural “I am in control” our feelings within our daily lives, getting out of bed, keeping focused on work, romance, essentially every facet is whereby there is an element of being in control.
To understand how mediumship works, we must first understand how our normal senses work.
Perhaps the most notable way in which the body reacts to “energy” is through the skin. This primarily gives the feelings of your hair standing on end, as well as feelings of having walked through a cobweb, particularly noted on the face and head.
When you are first starting out doing readings, you will naturally be a little nervous, hence it being a logical process of practising on your friends and asking them to provide constructive feedback. This section offers guidance in helping you and your sitting through the reading process.
We should have asked you right at the beginning of the course – but what kind of medium do you want to be? It is a simple question, but I will rephrase it. What kind of medium do you want to be – one who takes everything on face value and believes everything, or one that not only pushes their craft but also looks for greater understanding of their experiences? We designed this course for the latter, and as you have probably noted, this course is a mediumship course like no other. We are sceptical but we believe, and so we all should be. You should be prepared to take an explanation – or even be prepared to give one!
In this section we will be teaching you how to use your mediumship skills to sense ghosts and spirits of haunted buildings, whether this is someone's house or a traditional haunted castle or mansion. We often apply the term haunted to an old, half deserted building, when actually it could be a modern new-build. If people are experiencing an alleged haunting, the house and it's occupants should be dealt with respectably. If possible, work with a reputed organisation for investigating paranormal activity to provide another point of view.
We both have many years experience of investigating hauntings and the haunted, and it is safe to say that no case or haunting is ever exactly the same, we detail in this module how you need to look beyond the physical and psychological to gain a real insight. With the physical I discuss the common factors of misidentification of ghostly or spirit activity so that you are armed with the knowledge to remove these factors when undertaking your own investigations. I also look at the psychological aspects of hauntings, especially in the terms of archetypes, which I believe to be central to the first moments of experience and how we move on from it.
This section may seem highly sceptical – but it isn't, our approach to mediumship is to remove the 'fluff' and nonsense that has been attached to the medium's role. If as mediums we can be authoritive and understanding of the paranormal and what causes people to believe they have had an experience, we can get to the very essence of a haunting and deliver accurate evidence without including media and peer driven rubbish such as orbs and light anomalies.
Our approach to mediumship must be constructive, be a knowledgable medium looking to push the boundaries of their mediumship and what can be achieved! Mediumship is an amazing skill to have, and with practise and learning can be a very powerful tool for helping others and importantly, you!
When working with spirit either on the platform, haunted house or generally out and about, it is very easy to misconstrue general physical feelings as being literally paranormal. We programme ourselves to think that when we are in a particular situation, that we should act and sense in a particular way. If you go to someone's house you had just had an argument on the telephone with, then automatically before you have even rang the doorbell, your body will have create adrenaline, your mind will be highly focused to sense violence or overtly angry postures. The same is when we approach a 'paranormal' situation.
