Welcome to Section 6! This video will introduce what will be covered in this section. You are almost there! :-)
In this lesson, we will learn about the power of affirmations on creating a positive mindset, by targeting your self-talk.
In this lesson, we will revisit Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTS). The process used to replace a thought in this lesson may feel complicated at first, but just give it a try. There will be a lesson later that has a slightly simpler process. Try both, and see which one works best for you!
Be sure to check out the Resources Folder for:
1) an article that talks about Cognitive Distortion. (You will have to scroll down a lot to get to the part about Cognitive Distortions specifically. You may want to search for the term on the page to make it easier.)
2) Your assignment and an example. The first version is a Google Doc. If you want to edit it, open the Google Doc assignment and go to "File", then "Make a copy". This assignment has multiple boxes you can use for different thought replacement attempts. For your homework, you only need to do one. The rest are blank for you to use at other times if you like this tool. If you complete it on this doc, just go into the Udemy Assignment and answer the questions stating that you have completed the assignment somewhere else.
