  • Introducing Vision1:43

You’ve always had this idea in the back your mind. There are times you’re unsure of it, whether it will work, or if there is a market appetite for it... Or how to even start exploring it. The more you think of it, the more complex it seems. You thought it was going to be just a mobile app, or a website, or something else... But the more you explore, it starts to feel like there’s so much more that you have not thought about. Then you think to yourself, “Never mind... It’s too risky and I might not know what I’m doing”.

Often times, things appear to be complex only because we don’t know how to work around it in a structured way. I’ve helped big and small companies get through complex challenges to achieve something so simple and straight-forward to use, in such short periods of time. The materials in this program will guide you to declutter your mind and focus on what matters the most… The road to execution of your idea, leveraging speed and a methodical approach to problem solving and decision making.

If large corporate companies have benefited from this exact same method, why not take advantage and give it a go yourself? All you need is a bit of idea… A VISION… Backed up by your actions. We’ll be here to support you along the way and give you insights from what we’ve learned.

  • Writing your own product brief7:52

Well done. Not everyone is committed to turn Ideas into Action. This is the first step in converting the ‘Thinking’ state into actually ‘Doing’.

In this VISION part of the series, you will be guided on how to write a simple, concise, and yet meaningful brief – for yourself, or your small team (if you have one). This is the first anchor in your journey to finally be able to realistically commence the process of launching that idea of yours, by outlining the Challenge that you’re about to solve and the Deliverables that you may need to consider.

    Good luck!

  • Creating user personas8:33

Now that you have outlined the Challenge, our priority is to understand the user, your potential audience.

You may or may not have the privilege of big data insights at this point if you’re only a startup. If you do, take advantage of quickly learning a thing or two about your demographics. But if you don’t, don’t let it stop your process...

In this lesson, you will learn on how to efficiently build empathy towards your audience and document what their biggest needs are.

  • Drawing the user journey map6:27

With the User Needs documented from the User Personas findings, now you should have a good sense of what they would like to achieve as a user.

In this User Journey Mapping lesson, you will learn how to easily map out your user’s journey cycle when using your product or service... From the moment they discover about your product, to the point where they finally get what they need as a user.

What better way to immerse yourself into your customer’s shoe – other than putting yourself into their mindset?

    Don't forget, HAVE FUN!

Requirements

  • No, you don’t need any technical knowledge beyond a general understanding of digital products like website, apps and software.

Description

This course will teach you a faster way to design and test your software, web, app, and any digital product ideas. Within 5 days, you will have a prototype that has been validated by your users or target market. Based on the design sprint, it strips away all the fluff and fancy work that traditional method preaches to give you only the absolute necessary steps. This course is for you:

  • If you have an idea for a software, app, website or any digital product and are stuck on what to do next.

  • If you’re a first-time or seasoned entrepreneur who wants a quicker and better way to test the marketability and usability of your idea.

  • If you’re a product manager, assistant or product owner who is struggling with a long design and development time.

  • If you’re a product designer, UX or UI professional who wants to upskill and learn how to rapidly design and test prototypes.

My name is Alvin Hermanto and I run an award-winning digital design agency in Melbourne, Australia.

We use this method with established Australian brands in ecommerce, education, and technology. We've brought their software, website, and mobile app to market in less than half the time it usually takes.

As part of the Design Sprint, this Google Ventures approach is used by brands like Apple, IBM, Nike, P&G and Lego. After this course, you will have a solid user-validated prototype that’s prime for development and then market launch.

Ultimately, you will learn that rapid incremental progress will beat a long quest for perfection when it comes to building a product that customers will love.

Who this course is for:

  • Anyone who is stuck on an idea to build a website, app, software and other digital products.
  • Product managers & product owners who need to simplify the product design process.
  • Entrepreneurs who want to quickly create a proven prototype from a simple idea.
  • Product designers, UX/UI professionals keen to learn about how to rapidly design and test a prototype.
