If you let someone be everything for you, if they leave, you will end up with nothing. We like someone to look after and listen to us all the time; this is all part of us. Think for a minute. If we allow ourselves to be consoled or praised, then we become addicted to it. Therefore, it is essential for every one of us to be independent, emotionally, physically, and financially. It would be a shame if you were so unfortunate and worthless that you had no choice but to depend on someone.
Sometimes people think that being dependent on someone mentally and financially is part of our life. Some people are fortunate enough born rich and have wealthy parents. They get everything from their parents and assume that they do not need to depend on anyone as they have everything. Fair enough, they have everything today, and they can think like that today, but what happens if one day during their lifetime, everything disappears. Wealth and money are two things that are always ready to sink.
Emotional independence does not mean that we have to cut off all the relationships and be on our own. That is not true. We all need relationships, friends, and family, but we have to make sure that we do not always rely on other people's support for all the small things in our life. But at the same time, if you depend on yourself to sort out your problems and are a self-healer, this could also make you so tired that you lose yourself.
We become genuinely emotionally independent when external factors do not influence our attitude and perspective to situations in which we find ourselves. If you want to be independent, you need to be more durable and have the determination to make yourself independent. Remember, we are not born to be independent; you have to learn how to be independent and not depend on others for self-pity.
Let us explore our inherent emotional weaknesses that can stop us from achieving emotional independence.
Wе Love Condolences аnd Advice
When you started school at a very young age, you might remember that when your classmate tried to bully you, went straight to your teacher, and then came home, you would have complained and cried to your mother. Your mom would have cuddled and comforted you by saying that she would speak to the parents of the child who tried to bully you.
Later, when you became a teenager and were facing a bullying situation, you would not have gone to either your parents or your teacher, you would have settled it among your circle of friends.
As we grow up, we become less dependent on other people like parents or elders in our family circle. However, we still have some emotional counselling from either a spouse or our friends. So the fact remains that we still need an emotional cushion at times. We are not, by nature, willing to take emotional responsibility for situations around us. We invariably expect others to make us feel better.
Emotional Safety
There are people out there like maybe your friend, brother, or sister who tends to use you as their psychological counsellor. Do not worry about your problems, they always call you or come to your place to discuss their issues looking for condolences and solutions from you. For example, your sister calls you every day for emotional support, telling you about all sorts of her problems, and you need to sort it out for her every time you see her. If you have to go away one day, she will become an emotional wreck. Would you like to come back to her and still have to sort out her emotional issues? If a wife cries and complains every day to her husband when he comes home from work, he will not like it, since her complaints are in addition to his work stress. As a result, his wife is slowly driving him away and making him feel guilty. A person acting as an unpaid emotional counsellor will have to deal with other people's problems. They may not be able to handle their guilt trip, let alone deal with your sensitive issue.
How do you deal with problems that are caused by emotions?
Currently, there many stresses due to work, family, or business that create tension in some families. It is quite common and puts pressure on relationships. As a result, some people take up drinking, smoking, or drugs, as they believe that this will help them control their emotions. However, they do not realize that these habits are detrimental to the happy family and healthy relationships that contribute to relieving their feelings. At the same time, if you are bottling up your emotions, you can have a nervous breakdown. Some people are fortunate and talented enough to train themselves to forget and forgive. Remember, the key is tuning you to deal with whatever you are going through, and not shutting yourself off from the rest of the world.
Emotional independence will develop healthy and happy relationships. Here are some tips to become emotionally independent.
Why do I have emotional stress?
As long as you are healthy and young enough to do everything on your own, you have to think about your self-esteem and not depend on others.
To become emotionally independent, you have to be physically and financially independent, so it will automatically take you to that level.
Always comparing yourself with others and thinking very poorly about yourself is due to a lack of confidence.
You have no faith in your abilities. Learn to think about your achievements and have belief in yourself.
Have a healthy mindset. Tell yourself that you will not let yourself down for anything and train yourself to live independently. You need to have a happy social environment to become emotionally independent.
When people try to put you down, learn to ignore them, and take no notice. Try to change yourself without getting hurt, and do not sit back and mourn over it. Think that everything happens for the best.
Learn to look at yourself
Do not believe in other people's opinions about you and believe in yourself. You have to analyse yourself and accept that you are getting stronger every day.
If you allow people to become your emotional adviser, you are letting yourself down and will become incapable of anything in the future. Other people might want to feel better at your expense.
You have to trust in your achievements. It will give you a big boost, and you will want you to do more.
If you work hard in your life, it will make you emotionally independent. However, if you want to be happier, get that job that you have a real passion.
Sometimes, there are things that you can't do on your own, so you have to approach people for help. However, that should not be an endless help. You do not want them to assume that you are incapable of helping yourself.
Know your limits when getting Advice
Most of the time, we look for help from our loved ones, either our parents or our spouse, but we have to know where to draw the line. For any activity such as spending money, eating food, or playing in our lives, we have to learn to have some control. If not, it will go beyond certain levels without us even realizing it. It also a way of keeping our emotions under control and not to go out of control. We also have to look at other people who in the same situation to inspire us and from whom we can draw strength. We have to use others to help us, but we cannot lean on them. Do not put any strain on your relationships, because that might leave you alone at the end.
Train your mind
Practice makes you perfect. Once you know your strengths and weaknesses, if you exercise your muscles daily that will make you into a more forceful personality. The practice may be in the form of meditation, prayers, self-belief, or reading. Why even weeping is right for you if it can make you feel better. You have to have an attitude of, "I can do it, and nothing can push me down." Once you get into a habit of practicing this, you should feel proud of your achievements without any external help. Try to control yourself and reject automatic reactions, and pat yourself on the back for the smallest victory. If you continue like this, you will find you will be able to handle significant issues easily. It all depends on how you train yourself.
Attain Emotional Freedom
Begin to think that you are not the product of other people's opinions. Your feelings are independent. When you have trained yourself to handle stressful situations, the people around you will find you inspirational to be with, and they will want to draw strength from you. It will help you become calm in any situation, and you will be able to realize that your happiness depends on you, and other people cannot destroy it. You will look like a more forceful personality who cannot get attacked by others who want to walk all over you. If you have had any bad experiences because of the mistakes made by your ill-equipped parents, determined to forget them, purge the ill feelings planted in your mind, and live happily and independently. If someone in the past hurt you, it will not help you in any way to store the anger within yourself as it is going to harm you in the end. True happiness does not come from the result of other people's attitudes regarding how they look after you or help you. It is within you how you value yourself: your self-worth, self-esteem, and how you learn to love
yourself.
Reset your earlier life
Whatever life you had in the past, unhappy, low self-esteem, emotionally attacked by others, move away from the people who were giving you these negative feelings. Once you have run out, the best treatment is to write that off in your mind. Not only writing it off from your account, but you also have to analyze the reasons why they were doing it to you. Did they make use of your weakness to put you down all the time? Are they all trying to laugh at you because you didn't have a happy childhood? Did they want to keep you there at the bottom so that they could take advantage of you in the event they needed you? You might have so many questions within yourself, but I will not recommend finding answers to all of them. Instead, you need to train your mind to forget when those feelings come up within yourself.
Forget and forgive
If you believe that some people were holding you back by reminding you of your past life, feel sorry for their ignorance, forgive them and forget their bad attitudes. You have to learn to be much more durable than them and show them that you are a different person; that you are an individual with confidence and happiness.
Know yourself
The best protection you can have for yourself is to know yourself, as you cannot be talking about yourself to other people to value your worth. If you know who you are, indeed know your innate capabilities and become whom you decide to grow. It is part of the human qualities that put another person down to help that person feel better and bigger than you. If you are sure of yourself, nobody can touch you, and in the end, they will fail in their venture. You should always have a fixed mindset that you will not accept any silly remarks from anyone to boost your independence.
Admit yourself
Lots of people may look at you as an incapable person because you can't do anything on your own; that you are an individual who is reluctant to take any help from anyone. They call you arrogant for that. You want to be independent, but some people want to keep you dependent on them. Take nothing from anyone, and know that you can look after yourself. You have to accept who you are and what you are capable of doing. Do not let people change you and make you dependent on them.
Advance Yourself
Now you have learned to be emotionally independent. You need to progress in the areas you have previously had problems in your life. For example, if you were a little backward in your studies, you have to learn to improve in that area to become more confident and make your family and friends proud of you. Anyone needs personal development to go forward in life, and to fulfill his or her long-term dreams. If you cannot develop yourself on your own, get professional help for your personal development to achieve your goals in your life.
Most of us become dependent on some everyday things expecting happiness without making any efforts to keep their desires under control
Excessive eating.
· Alcohol and drugs.
· Watching Movies, TV, music, and video games playing
The internet and other entertainment.
· Sex.
· Shopping and consumerism.
· People.
· Pets.
· Wealth and money.
There is no harm in having those habits as your desire, but it becomes harmful when you cross your boundaries and try to depend on it for fulfilment. Ultimately, these habits take you to become dependent on living a fulfilling life.
The final stage of yourself if you have not reached emotional independence
When you have gained your emotional freedom, you are always on the lookout to improve your health, education, jobs, prosperity, and earn the respect of others. These things cannot be attained quickly overnight but should be achieved gradually with consistent hard work. If you have not tried any of the tips in this article, you will not notice it. Other people will take it for granted that you want to be dependent on someone for everything. And if they believe that you belong in that category, people will try and avoid you.
If you have left it for too long without attempting to overcome your natural obstacle of being emotionally dependent on others, you will live a life full of regret. And if you come across people who were in the same situation as you but have since succeeded in becoming emotionally independent, you will be in a worse situation. Remember, you need to develop your emotional independence; otherwise, people will run away from you because they don't want to waste their time with this emotional burden. You cannot blame them for that as currently, people have a hectic life with work and family, so they cannot afford to waste their time
How my emotional independence helped me to start the business?
I was working as an accountant I was redundant at my workplace due to some funding problems the company faced at that time.
I wanted to have my practice, started to set my own business, and wanted to have a part-time job to get fast money to support me. One evening when I was browsing YouTube videos, I came across a video made by Chris Farrell about web designs and affiliate marketing. I became interested in it, so I followed the full course. When I finished the course, I set up two websites, one for my accounting practice and another to promote affiliate products. After some time, I became more passionate about internet marketing, made few blogs for various other projects, and ran it smoothly.
The following experiences that I got from my hard work.
Do your own thing
You might think that I am writing about myself, Chris Farrell coaching inspired me, and here I am trying to encourage you and become emotionally independent.
How will that give you emotional independence?
When you have a severe passion for something, it will make you get it somehow, and you will start to do it yourself. I created the websites and started promoting affiliate products without anyone's help or Advice; I did proper research to help myself. It is not a matter of making money, spend your time happily and usefully for you to boost emotional confidence.
Why do you want to depend on others for help?
When you improve, you will get confidence; once you achieve that will not like to ask anyone for help because you do not want to undermine your capability and lose your pride. It happens to all of us, and we like to have support and consolation while we want to have our satisfaction as well, you have to realize that you cannot have both. Therefore, the best solution is not to emotionally depend on others. You have to do your things.
As a homemaker, mother, you should be the pillar of your home and try to act as a role model for the family. When you keep up like that, you will end up being a proud person, and your future generation will inherit that from you.
Hang out with new groups of people
It will help you get the stress out as you will forget your problems when you see the new people. Because you are not going to discuss your issues and emotional dependence on others, due to embarrassment. Therefore, the time you spent with the new people will help you; you can also talk about your passions and how to make those desires into reality. You never know that you might meet people like you and might able to learn about their coping mechanisms, which in turn could use to solve your problems.
How to develop Emotional independence?
Emotional independence is a process in which we learn to exercise greater control and willpower over our internal states regardless of external circumstances.
The opposite of emotional independence is situational happiness. Situational happiness when we depend on external circumstances to provide us with joy and well-being. We crave our external world to be a certain way, and if we do not get it, then we left disappointed and unhappy. Those who learn to cultivate emotional independence, find out how to find happiness independent of these external conditions.
The most common things we become dependent on for happiness included in our daily life when we do some terrible things excessively.
Those are all desires that we can develop a near-addictive personality towards us. Of course, someone can develop an addictive personality toward nearly anything, but that does not make any of these habits necessarily bad. Only when can no longer exercise these habits in moderation, and we begin to depend on them to enjoy ourselves, do these habits turn into a problem. Then, we are emotionally dependent on them to live a fulfilling life.
For example, if you always need to eat McDonald's, watch videos on YouTube, play video games, or be around a person to feel good about yourself, what happens when you can no longer get your fix? If you are truly addicted, you will begin to experience withdrawals. Then, the pain and suffering you feel from not being able to satisfy all these desires become worse.
You may even go through desperate and unhealthy measures to reclaim that short and temporary high. However, you cannot keep chasing temporary highs all your life. Happiness needs to be rooted in something more profound, not pure sensations of pleasure and pain.
The best method I know for minimizing these desires and increasing our capacity for fundamental happiness is meditation and the development of calmness.
Self-control is a non-reactive acceptance of our circumstances without judging them as necessarily good or bad. It usually seen as synonymous with being calm and relaxed, but calmness penetrates more profoundly than that.
Instead of having our strings pulled by every little thing that enters our lives, patience allows us to take a step back and accept things for what they are, without always feeling like we need to react to something or fix it.
Achieving complete calm and acceptance can probably only succeed if you meditate for years and years. Still, luckily, we can do to begin experiencing the benefits of patience in our own lives:
Start meditating.
Even practicing something simple and easy like the 100, Breaths Meditation can do wonders for cultivating a less reactive mind-set.
Accept things you have no control over.
We cause ourselves so much unnecessary stress by worrying about things that are outside our sphere of control. The quicker we can accept them and move on, the better off we are.
See the bigger picture.
I write a reframe about a lot most recently. I feel that when we put things into a big picture perspective, we often find that the things that irritate us the most are not such a big deal after all.
Stop and take a breather.
When we do not have patience, we become very impulsive. We react to things without ever taking a step back and thinking about them. There is a technique called STOP that provides a high barrier between our thoughts and our actions. The more barrier we have between our efforts, the less reactive we become.
Practice and practice.
You will not develop a solid attitude overnight. This stuff takes a lot of practice and many failures. Most likely, you will still get frustrated at that. Like a crying baby on the bus, or when you spill your drink, or when a deadline at work begins approaching. It is near impossible to be entirely non-reactive for your circumstances, but with practice, you can become less reactive – and that can make a big difference over time.
Following these simple guidelines is a great way to fight situational happiness and develop some emotional independence. By doing these things, we begin to take greater control over our internal states, and that can often be a lot easier than trying always to fulfil external desires.
In this last chapter, I want to talk about my life experience to tell you the truth. I did not even realize that I am an independent person until some of my family said that I am an independent person when they get upset with me over certain things. I lost my mother soon after I was born and grew up with my single dad. How much you can expect from a single dad who has to look after three kids, earn money for the family and run the home with no help.
No help
I would say that my father was an independent person so am I as well. I can't remember getting any help from anyone other than my dad in any of my needs as a child. People say a child's needs have to be recognized and take action to avoid the child becoming depressed and grow up with no confidence. That quickly said, a single father cannot provide that as that duty belongs almost to the mum.
So, I had no choice other than to find everything for myself on my own, lived among undermines, and moved away from them did not have any contact with them for a long time. I struggled all along financially, emotionally, and physically, but one thing that happened in my life, I met someone who stood by me for a few years. I would say that helped me to start my independent life to attain emotional independence.
Made money independently
So, we planned to do everything, including finding ways to make money, and at some point, she had to leave, and I survived on my own for a long time. I continued on my own and carried out the plan to make that money that helped me stay on my own in the city. So, at that time, my only thoughts were about paying the bills for my living. But I was studying and found it very difficult to pay the fees so luckily, I got a small job that helped me pay my fees.
I continued my life like that, all that pushed me into an independent living. When people have no genuine help, they start to live independently, which may be against their wishes, but they become used to independent living and attain emotional independence. Ultimately, they will get accustomed to living independently and become emotionally disconnected and fearless to do anything.
Freedom & Inner peace
That results in freedom and inner peace; they will stop looking for help from anyone, even their family members. They will come to an understanding getting help from others will make you lose your freedom, and also, there may be people who will help you and eventually takeover everything from you. So, from my young days, I started to live independently and continue to live like that.
Remember, when you live an independent life, there is no chance for others to damage your emotions not to become emotionally dependent. I always had many desires to progress in my life, but I suffered from those desires because of no help. In other words, when you live independently, people around will assume that you can do everything on your own and will not help you.
But at the same time, when you keep getting help from others, they will treat you like an incapable person and lose respect for you. Therefore, if you want to have emotional independence living without help from others will help you in every way.
Wrapping Up
Thank you for taking the time to read my course; I sincerely hope that the tips I have given will help you overcome emotional dependence. When you find one of the ways that help you, you must consistently apply that piece of advice to recover from your dependency habit.
Start doing it on a smaller scale and increase it gradually without trying it quickly to achieve your goal. I am optimistic that these tips will help you as it has helped me in the past. I used to depend on my children for most things, and I am entirely changed; they don't know about my daily activities. I do everything myself, and I am feeling proud. I wish the same for you!
Marriage is the best form of companionship in humanity. After the wedding, a person gets the assurance of at least one friend for life. Marriage gives some confidence that one will have a companion through thick and thin until the end. We cannot call our other friendships and relations so dependable, therefore why marriage is important. All this was undoubtedly true a few decades ago. Is it so even now? How far are you dependent on your wedding to derive satisfaction and peace in life?
Now let us examine some personalities. For my first example, I will take a man/woman who is career-oriented. For whom nothing matters other than the career and achievements in the workplace. What kind of married life will such a person have? One can assume that such a person will not be very dependent upon a married relationship. Such a person will not undergo a severe shock if a marriage breaks.
Is marriage necessary for the life of a woman?
In some cultures, marriage is essential for women as women find it challenging to live independently. In this day and age, a woman cannot depend on them because children like their parents' independence and tend to move away from the parents. In that situation, the woman will be left alone without any help if something has happened to the man. It is easier to say that you can find another person to be your partner, but it is not possible all the time in reality. Sometimes marriage is essential for a woman for safety reasons and especially if she is a weak personality.
Some do not depend on marriage.
Take another example of a person who has a large group of friends and social networks and attends all the functions, parties, and celebrations thrown by friends. If someone is a typical social animal that thrives in a group of friends and invents reasons for gatherings, will they depend on the married life of happiness? Such people are not highly dependent on their married life for joy. Their attitude is different.
On the other hand, let us take an example of a person who is introverted and likes to remain with and shares more time with family. Such a person is a devoted family and maybe devastated if separated or after the spouse's death.
All of us derive different pleasures from various relationships. Our priorities vary. Our value system changes for the better. Because of these differences in our personalities, marriage may or may not play a critical role in everyone's life.
If for, e.g., a woman has to depend on a man, because she is married to him, she becomes so used to that person and, as a result, cannot function on her own even though she is a capable person. Therefore, it is not a good idea to be utterly dependent on the marriage, but being married is helpful to you.
Achieving independence in marriage
If you want to have a happy and independent married life, it will be better to respect each other's desires and achieve their goals in life. If one of you feels the person's desire is unreasonable, discuss it to change it. Then learn to support each other when required, even if one of you does not want it because of the emotional independence, but that does not mean you can take the freedom from your actions. Giving independence does not mean that you do not love each other or want to leave the marriage. So, anyone must not be dependent on marriage, either the man or woman. In some families, the man depends on the wedding due to a lack of confidence.
Know your emotional dependence.
Most of us go into relationships to have the best benefit of getting emotional support from our loved ones. When you have some troubles, the loved ones can give you empathy and support by listening to you to bring you out of that stress.
It is normal to turn to your partner, siblings, or parents for help in any situation that you face life challenges for the guidance you expect in long-term relationships.
Emotional dependence, however, passes the point of support.
You do not understand that any emotional support cannot be in the long term as anyone who gives you becomes tired of doing that because they have a life. Therefore, sooner or later, you need to learn to find solutions for your problems. If you continue to depend on others around you can take a toll on your relationship, so you do not want to lose anything more in your life to affect your well-being.
What it looks like
It can help to think of emotional dependence as a range.
Emotional independence rests on one end. Independent people do not look for help, maybe for a few reasons. They do not want to lose their pride; they want to learn everything, thinking of losing the chance of learning new things by allowing others to do what they try to do. I am an independent person but fearful of some things, but I force myself to accomplish what I want in my life.
Interdependent relationships, the healthiest type of relationship, fall in the middle. Interdependence means you can recognize your own emotional needs and do the work to get many of them met.
When you can’t fulfill them on your own, then you might reach out to your partner. In other words, you depend on them for some emotional needs, not all of them.
On the other end lies emotional dependence. Here, you typically end up relying on your partner to meet nearly all your needs. When you experience distress, you might look to them immediately before trying to manage your emotions yourself.
Other key signs of emotional dependence include:
an idealized view of your partner or the relationship
the belief your life lacks meaning without them
the idea you can’t find happiness or security alone
a persistent fear of rejection
a constant need for reassurance
feelings of emptiness and anxiety when spending time alone
needing them to build your self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth
feelings of jealousy or possessiveness
difficulty trusting in their feelings for you
How it affects you
Trouble meeting your own emotional needs can significantly impact your romantic relationships, but the effects can also extend to other areas of life.
Emotional dependence ends up having relationship problems and will not lead to healthy relationships.
Emotionally dependent people typically need a lot of reassurance and support from their partners.
You might, for example, regularly ask things like:
“Do you love me?”
“Am I bothering you?”
“Do you want to spend time with me?”
“How do I look?”
“You don’t want to break up, do you?”
By asking questions from your partner like this, you doubt yourself and want to make you feel better; also, you expect approval to feel good about yourself.
These fears of abandonment can, in turn, lead to attempts to control their behavior to hold on to them.
But trying to control people usually backfires. People who feel manipulated or unable to make their own choices may end up wanting to leave the relationship. A pattern of failed relationships is pretty common with emotional dependence.
You might have these feelings all the time, which you need to avoid in the future.
Stress
If you keep expecting others to care about you, that will not happen all the time, so there is a possibility that you might think that no one cares about you without thinking about your mistake.
That ends up giving you constant worry and start to think that your partner does not love you. And this will happen when you are alone and end up having all sorts of wrong thoughts about your partner and assure to assume what is happening now.
This fixation can leave your baseline stress level pretty high.
High levels of stress can affect how you experience and express your emotions. You might notice:
· Mood changes quickly
· Possibility of becoming depressed.
· You might start to pick up small fights with your partner that will put them off in the wrong way. Even if you do not shout and talk, your physical expressions might show them,
· somatic symptoms, including muscle tension, headaches, or stomach distress
Poor self-care
Do not forget that when you get continuous support from your partner, you miss out on discovering how to support yourself and start behaving like a child.
Realistically, you start to learn to make your contributions for your needs instead of depending on others. Besides, you have to be prepared to deal with your issues when they are not there to help you.
Due to your mental stress, you might miss having a good time with your friends and refreshing your mind to keep yourself fit. So can you will attain a stage that you can look after yourself.
How to overcome it
Has emotional dependence started to sound a little like something you've noticed in your relationships?
Be honest with yourself. If you answered yes, take heart. You can take action to address this pattern.
These tips can help you better identify and meet your own emotional needs. Of course, it's beautiful and healthy to lean on others as needed, but it's essential to know how to show up for yourself, too.
Get more comfortable with your emotions.
You have to accept your ill feelings and agree with yourself, thinking that it is not unusual to expect others to help us. Maybe I am finding it difficult now, but I will become confident if I keep practicing it.
Whenever you feel like asking someone, quickly remind yourself that you can do it; why should I need help? We all face problems in our life; imagine if every one of us starts to look for service, where will that end.
Instead of hiding from less-than-ideal feelings or relying on someone to make them go away, get in touch with your sense of curiosity instead. Ask yourself what they're telling you.
To learn more about yourself and your emotions, try:
Prayers & meditation
Spending time in nature
Ensure that you spend your alone.
Take charge of your emotional needs.
When you become confident about taking charge of your own emotional needs, you will not feel jealous of your partner like before, as you will put them in your place and think they too might be having problems and trying to sort it for them. So, you conclude that you should not disturb them unnecessarily.
Try focusing on what's enjoyable now by:
spending time with friends outside the relationship
exploring your interests
making time to relax
practicing self-care
Explore your triggers
You might notice certain things trigger emotionally dependent behaviors.
For example:
You catch yourself seeking reassurance most when dealing with outside sources of stress, like trouble at work or friend drama.
Your self-esteem tanks when you make a mistake, and you depend on their approval to lift you back up.
You feel rejected and fear losing their love when they spend a lot of time with someone else.
Ask what you need
I keep saying that you have to look after yourself without depending on others that are entirely agreeable. But remember, we are all human beings and have needs in different ways so that you might need some help from others at times. So, you must ask for help; if you not, you might fail in something that you want to do, which affects you in the long run.

A personal guide to solving your most challenging problems.
All humans are born with issues but do not let that take you over for good. Wake up from it and start chasing it to achieve your goals.
What are your problems?
How do you experience that?
Learn to love yourself.
Personal issues can be anything, financial, health, do not have anyone to speak your mind, no one helps you. Usually, we all have some issues in some part of our lives. Do you know problems teach us things that we have never realized in our life that make us stronger able to overcome anything that hinders us?
In my life, I have seen close relatives when they meet problems, they quickly lose confidence, happiness, and anything and everything an individual can hold onto to live happily. In the end, they destroy their life suffer from severe illness, and pass away without leaving anything for the generation apart from bad memories for their kids.
I look at myself as a person who always faced problems, unfair treatment, severe financial health issues, and loneliness. I have to say, even during my young days, I was left lonely without genuine help. I know only two people helped in my life; my father educated me, and then a friend of mine helped to progress with my education when I was young; unfortunately, both are not here.
I remember when I was studying, my friend took a loan and paid my fees, then both of us did not have money to pay back then her brother was in a high job paid back the loan, I never paid it back when I asked, they said not to worry about it. I can never forget that in my life.
All that made me a more assertive personality, not terrified of any problems that might come to me. I face that with courage and never expect any help from anyone. Because I know the people help you and mistreat you, which I cannot take. I am writing this person who read that they need to change themselves and love them to find the solutions for their issues without expecting any help from anyone. I am concerned about my self-respect, so I keep everything to myself and find answers. Some others might think that I am arrogant, but they need to learn between arrogance and self-respect.
You must be emotionally independent; it could become a habit if you expect help from others to give you emotional independence. Then when they become tired of you, they will leave so where will you find another person? How will you survive on your own? In some families the kids you brought up, gave good education when they get married, they forget you completely, because of their spouse.
If I am in a situation like that, you know I will never disturb them leave them to live their life because I will care about my child more than my problems. Parents must give independence to their children some children look after you when they are with you, but after they get married, they leave you maybe their partner does not like you or due to any other reason. So, if you are an understanding person, you must remember your children left you because of their senses, not because they do not love you.
Therefore financial, emotional, and physical independence gives you happiness, pride, belief in yourself, and others around you will start to respect you forever.
I always have an entrepreneurial mindset but hardly see success; I had a severe failure of my first business mainly due to the wrong selection of the niche. Then I started this business; I again struggled because there was no help. Let me tell you about my business; I am an online course creator and an eBook writer; it becomes hard to see success in a very competitive industry, and it escalates with no help.
I started learning about internet marketing in 2014, as I was so ignorant about it; therefore, it took a long time to establish myself as an internet marketer. I struggle to mix with industry experts as I am a weaker personality in that area, but I work too hard in my business daily. Even though I am fully aware collaboration brings enormous success, the main issue that I have here is I worked in the accounting industry for a long time; most of my jobs were that I had to work on my own. So, I have no one to collaborate with within this field because most of my past colleagues are not interested. After all, they know it is a field that is not easy to make money.
I have been trying to get volunteers and students from the college's nothing worked for me, so I am still a lone worker. All that said, I am confident in what I am doing now as a self-studier and an entrepreneur who works alone with no help and less recognition. That said, I will not feel sad about it as I am so passionate about what I do daily. I never take a break from my work unless something is essential; I still believe in all I do, which gives me the confidence to achieve my goal.
I know that I must love myself, so I take care of health all the time as I am fully aware if you lose health, you lose everything in life. It does not apply only to me; if you face problems, start to think about the solutions, never give up hope to get answers. So, you need to love yourself first to take care of yourself; if not, you might let the problems take you over and lead you to go depressed in need to lose everything. I lived with my sick partner for 20 years; then he passed away, the kids moved from me. I have faced severe problems for the last seven years that include financial too; as usual, my habit is to fight back with everything. After such a long struggle, I think things are looking better for me in 2022.
Therefore, I want to insist again not to give up on things like fighting back as it is the only solution, we can get free of charge, so make the best use of it. Besides that, helps to live an emotionally independent life.
I possess most of the qualities I will discuss in this article. Let me start by talking about my young life. My father sent me to a high school to study in a city far from my hometown. It took cars about 8 hours to reach home.
I possess most of the qualities that I will discuss in this article. Let me start by talking about my young life. My father sent me to a high school to study in a city far away from my hometown. It took me about 8 hours to reach home by car.
So, I stayed on my own and did my accountancy course, but I had some help from a friend. But whatever I decided when I told her, she agreed. From that onwards, I started finding jobs and survived for a few years. Whenever I found issues at a job, I used to find another one. Then I met my husband and did not even try to get permission from my father or anyone. That means I made all my decisions and agreed to the requests that came from my husband. Isn't that a sign of emotional independence?
Then we married, but I was always looking for a better life. I knew that would not come freely, so we had to improve our lives. Therefore, I was interested in making more money. My partner liked the money but was never interested in my ideas, as he was in his comfort zone.
As an emotionally independent person, I am a pensioner even in this old age. I work at least 10 hours a day, seven days a week. The main reason is that I do not want to depend on others for anything. I am a businessperson, writing eBooks and books, creating online courses, and doing accounting work with my clients seven days a week.
I do not have any help from anyone, and I am a self-study. Anyone who wants to have a business must invest in them; if not, they cannot run a company. I think people might find it difficult to believe this. I am the director of the SAT Business Academy and have never had any help so far. Besides, I am also a business coach. I have to say that I have not been successful, but what I earn is enough for my living. I have seen many undermine looking at me as wasting my time by doing so much work. So, this could be a type of life an independent person can have,
Characteristics of emotionally independent people.
1. They are very compassionate:
These people are sensitive to the emotions of others, and they quickly put themselves in the place of the other, contrary to what happens with selfish people. They go out to help others in their difficult situation.
2. They are more sensitive
Emotional people tend to be very insightful. They are more sensitive to context and more connected to their emotions. In addition, they can process environmental refinements consciously or unconsciously, as if they process more information than others without even trying.
3. They are more creative
Research shows these people are very creative and have great interest, attraction, and talent in drama, music, art, and dance. Many of them go into these fields without any hesitation.
4. They take longer to decide
Emotional people pay attention to more details besides thinking too far to decide on anything. They take time to consider the contributions when preparing for any discussion. They do this because they are fully aware of the consequences emotionally independent people could face if they make a mistake. Also, they look out for more options and possible conclusions before deciding.
5. They tend to feel misunderstood
Some people misunderstand motivationally independent people, thinking that they are arrogant because they do not quickly go to ask for help from others. That makes them feel that these people are surviving well; it turns into jealousy. People misunderstand them because of their introversion and reluctance to interact with people. It is more noticeable in the case of men, who culturally must give an image of strength and protection that does not always fit with a sensitive personality.
6. They are more respectful and educated
Most emotional people are highly educated and achieve a lot of respect in society; in return, they are respectful of others, too. They are more sensitive to the feelings of others. They do not like to do to others what they do not want for them. In addition, they understand better the reactions of others and how their behavior affects interpersonal relationships, so they tend to be more educated.
7. They are susceptible to criticism
Being empathetic and emotionally sensitive also means that the person fits criticism worse. It happens because they experience emotions more intensely and process information more deeply, both for the good and the bad.
The criticisms are very hurtful because they take them to heart. Some often employ specific strategies to minimize the likelihood of being criticized. For example, they avoid situations where they may experience criticism or meet friendly people.
8. They react in a very passionate way
They experience more emotional pain than others, so they easily understand other people's distress and become very passionate about them. They react sensitively to pests and discomfort, and someone who cries can respond to that individual passionately.
9. They work well as a team
Sometimes, when I teach others, they become overanxious about something unnecessary, but I do not lose empathy towards them and take the time to explain them. In that situation, I think I have the patience to work as a team, and if I get the opportunity, I will start that too. Emotional, independent, hard-working people are always looking for opportunities for themselves and ready to join others like that., too. Emotionally
Since emotional people are reflective and possess social skills such as empathy, they often offer commitment, understanding, and wisdom to a team project. Emotional. They contribute
10. They are more vulnerable to anxiety or depression
This type of person absorbs positive emotions quickly, but also negative ones. And that unpleasant experiences affect everyone, especially those more likely to suffer from anxiety or depression. These individuals tend to reflect and recreate their emotional side, so tricky situations also impact them much more, and they have difficulty overcoming them.
Emotionally independent people are more concerned about self-respect, which is one reason they do not approach anyone for financial or physical help. They do not want others to look down on them.
Fearful individuals often hold a negative model of self and a negative model of others, fearing intimacy and autonomy. They display attachment behaviors typical of avoidant children becoming socially withdrawn and untrusting of others.
While people with fearful avoidant attachment actively want to have a relationship, their instincts work against their wishes. They resist the intimacy necessary for a relationship so that casual sex may feel safer. People with this type of attachment style always fear being left alone because of the fear. Sometimes, they think about whether I will get trapped in this relationship.
Along with being overly dependent, people with anxiety may find themselves prone to: Seeking out constant communication (and getting anxious if a partner or friend does not respond quickly)
Some have a habit of imagining wrong things and become fearful about either will live alone because their partner might leave or some other issues.
How to Recognize and Work Through Emotional Dependency
For someone who lives alone and when they face problems in their life, they start to think about relationships because it is a known fact that if you have a relationship, you will get emotional support to get out of your mental issues. Emotional support is significant support when you are in a relationship. When you face life challenges or pressure, your loved ones can offer empathy and comfort by listening to your troubles and proving your feelings.
You might first turn to your partner for this support in a romantic relationship. Looking to partners for emotional support and guidance is expected, particularly when you have a long-term relationship.
Most romantic partners depend on each other to some extent. But when you need your partner to meet your emotional needs, you’re probably not doing much to meet those needs on your own.
This reliance on another person can eventually affect your relationship and overall well-being.
What do you think about it?
It can help to think of emotional dependence as a field.
Emotional independence rests on one end. Completely independent people might resist all emotional support, preferring to cope with emotional needs alone or even ignore them.
Reciprocal relationships, the beneficial type of relationship, fall in the middle. Mutuality means you will identify your emotional needs and do the work to meet many of them.
When you finish doing all your needs, you will go to your partner. That means you need your partner for some emotional needs but only for some things.
On the other end lies emotional dependence. You typically depend on your partner for all your necessities.
When some face distress, they move to their partner immediately, even before giving them a chance to sort that out. They forget that they lose their self-esteem and confidence by behaving like that. That does not mean that you must store it up in yourself. Please look for a suitable time to talk about that. I heard some men, when they come from work, do not take the opportunity to speak to their partner about their distress at work but try to show anger towards everything at home.
If you feel that you cannot live without their emotional support, it will show that your relationship has turned to a level of dependence.
What are the main signs of emotional dependence?
An unrealistic view of your partner or the relationship
the belief your life lacks meaning without them.
The Sentiment that one is not capable of solitary life or finding happiness.
A continuous fear of rejection, a constant need for comfort, feelings of blankness, and anxiety when spending time alone
need them to build your self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth.
Feelings of jealousy or possessiveness, difficulty trusting in their feelings for you.
When you see these signs start to work on your self-esteem and confidence so that you will not have some people to take advantage of you. Nothing is permanent in life, so you must learn to care for yourself in any circumstances.
My name is Vathani Ariyam, the author of this online course. Thank you very much for picking up to read this course. I have written this course to help people suffering from emotional dependence.
In my opinion, a loving relationship is something you accustomed yourself to depend on someone for help. We all like to be consoled and supported daily. We can take it for granted that we would always have this help without accepting that this aid is not permanent. That is not possible in the end; the person who supports you will leave you one day for some reason. Once that happens, you will be on your own with further suffering; one thing, your help is gone, and another thing, you might start to miss that person. Learning to help myself is the best way to survive.
Another issue is when you learn to depend on someone else for help and not pay it back in some form. Ultimately, that makes you feel lower than the person who gives you advice, which is the path to self-sabotage. Besides, when you depend on others, you lose your learning capabilities and doing things to make you happy.
Therefore, the best way to survive is to be emotionally independent; I have given tips here to overcome dependence.
Have a determination
Never expect others to help you
You will learn from my experience
The people will leave you.
Believe in yourself to make your money.
Help is not permanent, so do not take it for granted.
Ready to face challenges.
Do not depend on things for happiness.
You make yourself happy.
Independent living helps you keep your respect that grows emotional independence.
So, the best way of survival is to be emotionally independent; I have given tips to overcome the feeling of dependence as it will make you lose your sense of freedom and self-respect.
You will start to feel worthless; therefore, do not entirely depend on anyone for help.
The most common things we become dependent on for happiness are when we do some terrible things excessively. These are all situational happiness, and we need to learn to set boundaries to it if not harmful to us.
Those are all desires that we can develop a near-addictive personality towards us.
I hope that this online course helps you to become an independent person in the end.
