Description

The step-by-step batting system that turns your toughest conditions into your biggest advantage

Every batter has a version of the same nightmare

The ball is nipping around off the seam. The new-ball bowler is hitting the deck hard and it's climbing at your ribs. You're playing at deliveries you should be leaving, poking at balls you can't reach, and getting squared up before you've even settled in.

You know your technique works on a flat deck. The problem is that flat decks are not where matches are won.

This course fixes that — one piece at a time.

What you'll learn

1. Course Introduction — The Framework

Before we touch technique, you'll understand why pace and swing cause problems: how the ball behaves in the air and off the pitch, what actually goes wrong in a batter's setup, and the exact order in which we're going to fix it. This is your roadmap for everything that follows.

2. The Perfect Stance & Set-Up

Everything starts here. You'll learn how to build a balanced, still, repeatable base — head position, weight distribution, grip, and alignment — so you're ready to move in any direction the ball demands. Get this wrong and no amount of hand skill will save you.

3. Shuffle & Trigger Movements

Your trigger movement is either buying you time or stealing it. You'll learn how to build a trigger that gets you into position early, keeps your head still through release, and works with pace rather than fighting it.

4. Playing Late on the Front Foot

This is the single biggest separator between batters who survive swinging conditions and batters who don't. You'll learn how to let the ball come to you, play under your eyes, and stop chasing movement — the skill that turns edges into middled defensive shots.

5. Front Foot Shot-Making

Once you're solid, you start scoring. Cover drives, straight drives, on-drives, the whip through midwicket — how to select them, when to commit, and how to execute them without compromising the balance you've just built.

6. Back Foot Mastery

Short of a length, climbing, and at your body. You'll learn how to get back and across with control, then how to play the full range — the pull, the cut, the back-foot punch, and the defense — so bouncy pitches become scoring opportunities instead of survival exercises.

Who this course is for

  • Club and league cricketers who dominate at home but struggle when conditions do something

  • Age-group and academy players building a technique that will hold up at the next level

  • Coaches looking for a clear, teachable framework to pass on to their players

  • Returning players wanting to rebuild their game against the quicks with a proper structure

Why learn this from me

I played cricket professionally and then coached for four years before completing my MSc in Sport & Exercise Psychology. Since then I've worked as both a cricket coach and a mind coach, which means you're not just getting technique — you're getting the mental side that determines whether that technique holds up when the ball is talking and the pressure is on.

Most coaching tells you what to do. This course tells you what to do, why it works, and how to trust it when it matters.

Turn your weakness into your weapon

Batters who can play pace and swing get picked, get trusted, and get runs when everyone else is failing. That's the difference-maker.
