In this lecture, the student will learn about the power that emotions have on how we "show up" everyday AND how our emotions impact how we are perceived by others. We will investigate what we can learn from our emotions and why they should be acknowledged, not suppressed.
In this lecture, the student will learn the definition of Emotional Intelligence and will be introduced to the 4 key competencies of Emotional Intelligence, as they apply to both self and social skillsets.
After the lecture, the student will be ready to use what they have learned to informally rank themselves in each of the competencies and consider areas where they would like to focus. The student will be asked to refer back to this early ranking at the end of the course, to identify thought changes or make plans for behavior changes in the future.
In this lecture, the student will learn how Emotional Intelligence is measured and how Emotional Intelligence impacts the way that they conduct themselves and influence the people that they interact with on a regular basis. I will provide examples of how successful people apply emotional Intelligence skills.

In this lecture, I will provide hints and tips on how the student can apply more Self-Awareness skills to investigate the underlying cause of their emotions and validate the "message" behind the emotion and/or what can be learned from the emotion.
After the lecture, the student will be ready to apply what they have learned to investigate “Why we feel or behave a specific way" AND begin to empower themselves to intentionally decide how to manage their emotions.
In this lecture, the student will learn about negative thoughts and the POWER that they have to interrogate those thoughts and use the hints and tips that are provided in the lesson to determine how to respond to negative thoughts and self-sabotaging beliefs.

In this lecture, the student will learn about the 4 key components of Emotional Intelligence. The lecture provides a high level description and demonstrates how each competency relates to either self or others. The next set of lectures will go deeper to examine each of the four competencies individually - covering how the competency shows up, how it is use to gain control of yourself, manage your thoughts, influence others, and build positive relationships.

The lecture will encourage the student to consider leaders who have inspired them and consider the emotional intelligence traits that they remember most. It is a great way to practice Social Awareness. We will dig deeper into what an EI Leader looks like as well as a leader that ranks low in EI.
