Houdini Rocks Volume 4 - Introduction to Dynamics
What you'll learn
- How to use RBD and Fracture inside Houdini
- Houdini Volume rock 1
- basic concept of Houdini
VFX'n'GO - Houdini Rocks - Volume 4a - Introduction to Dynamics
All you need is Houdini
In this course, I talk about the Dynamics and started with RBD object and with the fracturing system like Voronoi and much more. I show you how to manage the new systems in Houdini 17 like RBD Material Fracture, Voronoi Sops, and the new constraint Soft. Also, I show you some tips for a switch from one constraint to others and how to convert the RBD simulation into "soft-body".
Do you want more?
Ok... I talk about also how to use the custom volume Vops to fracture your geometry and use also a VEX to control some simulation (using also inside the sop solver). So... it's more theoretical/technical course in fact is split into two-volume "4(a)" and "4(b)".... "4(b)" is more practical and coming soon...

From SideFX website:
"In Houdini, every action is stored in a node. These nodes are then “wired” into networks which define a “recipe” that can be tweaked to refine the outcome then repeated to create similar yet unique results. The ability for nodes to be saved and to pass information, in the form of attributes, down the chain is what gives Houdini its procedural nature. Visual effects artists gravitate to Houdini because its procedural workflow is ideal for creating sophisticated particle and dynamic simulations. Effects are typically designed to react to actions taking place in a shot and a procedural solution “automates” these reactions providing studios with more creative control and more rapid turnaround."
Who this course is for:
I’m a 3D Generalist with high passion for FX and I’m specialized in Fluid, Particles and Dynamic effects. I have over 10-years-experience in 3D related fields, including arch-viz, media and entertainment.
My ideal pipeline is: 3DS Max (Pflow+FumeFx), Houdini, After Effects/Fusion/Nuke
I started my educational project (VFX'n'GO - read: VFX and GO) in fall 2014 and in 2016 I realesed a first package in english (usually I create courses only in italian language). I decided to move also on Udemy for give more alternative also to my student.
