Description

As an 16-year-old passionate about both basketball and mathematics, I discovered how closely these fields are linked, particularly through the principles of geometry and physics. This connection inspired me to create a course that explores how mathematical concepts can enhance basketball skills.

The course aims to show how understanding angles, trajectories, and calculations can improve shooting accuracy and overall performance on the court. By sharing this knowledge, I hope to help others see the value of math in sports.

The student after completing my course will:

  1. Optimize Shooting Accuracy Through Math:

  2. Increase Basket Scoring:

    • Track Performance Metrics: Use statistical analysis to track your shooting accuracy over time. Identify patterns and areas for improvement based on data collected from your practice sessions.

    • Apply Feedback: Use mathematical models to adjust your shooting technique based on the data, such as adjusting your shooting form or stance to improve accuracy.

  3. Explore the Math-Sports Connection:

    • Sports Analytics: Understand how math is used in sports analytics to enhance player performance and game strategy. Learn how statistics and probability are used to make data-driven decisions in sports.

  4. Learn Key Math and Physics Principles:

    • Basic Geometry: Study how angles and distances affect shooting accuracy.

    • Physics of Motion: Learn about projectile motion, force, and gravity to better understand the dynamics of your basketball shot.

  5. Appreciate Math in Everyday Life:

    • Real-World Applications: Recognize how math influences various aspects of life, including sports, finance, engineering, and daily decision-making.

Most importantly, all proceeds from the course will be donated to ELEPAP, an organization that supports children facing various challenges. This initiative combines my interests with a cause that makes a difference in the lives of others.

Who this course is for:

  • This course is for students that play basketball and really love math.
