Requirements
- Freshers can begin from the basics of Hindustani classical music. Any good app for shruti or pitch and for rythm ( tabla). I tabla pro (app for apple products) will be sufficient for self practice
Description
A comprehensive step by step approach to Hindustani classical music . Beginning with the basic Alankaras or paltas students will learn the basics of the Raagas like Bhoopali, Durga, Malkauns, Khamaj etc.
The course begins with the basics of Indian classical music system and voice training exercises called alankaras or Paltas. These will help the student gain Swar knowledge and help them to mould their voice to move effortlessly in octaves.
Once the student is confident with the basics , they can move on to the Raagas and explore various Raagas and their characteristics while being able to sing different compositions in each Raaga.

She is a blend of music, dance and literature. A University topper in MA English Literature
with 3 Gold medals, she is a disciple of Hindustani classical music under Guru
Vidushi Smt. Geetha Hegde, Bangalore for past several years. Presently she is under the tutelage of the maestro of Kirana and Gwalior gharana Pandit MP Hegde. Being a ‘B high’ grade artist
of All India Radio Bangalore, she served as an RJ at FM - Rainbow for 7 years. As a
recognition to her love and dedication to art, she has been conferred scholarships from
Karnataka Sangeetha Nrithya Academy, Smriti Nandan Trust, Bangalore and also State
award winner for Kannada Light Music.
