A brief video sharing some of the key takeaways or benefits that may be realised from the course
In Session 2, Jen recaps our Being Human model and discusses the nature, cause and reduction of suffering from both an ancient Buddhist and modern Scientific perspective.
Importantly, these seemingly different viewpoints both align with our Heartfulness approach, our Being Human model and direct personal experience. We invite you to not just take us at our word, but to try these concepts on for yourself to see if they align for you too.
In this video Jen guides a short Grounding meditation to come into presence. This guided meditation is also provided as an mp3 audio file.
We all have the power to recognise and rest in and as the wonders of our being nature and, with practice, we can expand our sense of who we are and come to realise that everything we are seeking is available to us in the present moment.
This meditation draws on Dr Dan Siegel's Wheel of Awareness model and inspiration from his Interpersonal Neurobiology research to help you differentiate your being nature from your experience in order to see the inherent linkage, harmony and oneness of your essential self with all experience.
Also referred to as a Long Grounding meditation, this practice can help you come fully into the present moment to experience the richness of life here, now. You can download this mp3 audio file and practice integration through differentiation and linkage, to experience interconnection and oneness in your direct experience.
Lastly, a quick clarification. Many different words can be used to convey the idea of 'being,' including many that we use in this course. Terms like presence, awareness, consciousness, Self, Self-energy, true nature, essential nature, being nature, spirit, soul, Buddha nature, God, Brahman, non-dual nature, Tao ... are all considered synonyms, pointing to the same, unified, underlying non-dual nature of being.
In this video and downloadable audio (Introduction to S4), Jen discusses the non-dual understand of awareness as the essence, energy and infinite potential which is the source of both mind and matter, self and other, all phenomena in the universe and beyond. All that is. (NEEDS EDITING)
