He's a Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition candidate and completed the majority of his nutrition education at Bauman College for Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts. Additional education in the field of health includes online coursework at Tufts University and herbal studies at the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism. 

Matthew owns Lifestyles in Nutrition, a Colorado business that provides education and recipes for online members. Matthew also does one-on-one health consults incorporating nutrition and lifestyle changes as well as therapeutic supplements and herbal medicine to help clients reach their health goals.
