Before participating in your attunement for Heart Centered Reiki level 1, take time to prepare. There are some things that a student can do prior to receiving the attunement to enhance their ability to receive. Most importantly however, an open heart is of upmost value, as you cannot be attuned against your will.
Some suggested things you can do to prepare for your attunement are:
· Get a good night’s sleep
· Drink plenty of water- stay hydrated
· Fasting with an intended prayer
· Meditation (We will do this as a group)
· Epson salt bath the night before
· Gradual cleanse of your body
· Eat light meals the day before and day of
· Spend some time alone in quiet reflection

The first symbol received by Dr. Usui was the Cho-Ku-Rei symbol. It is pronounced (cho-koo-ray) Meaning: "Placing all power of the universe here." Abilities: The symbol has the ability to activate the other symbols; magnifying their frequency.
SEI-HE-KI: THE EMOTIONAL HEALING SYMBOL3:09
The second symbol received by Dr. Usui was the SEI-HE-KI symbol. It is pronounced (say-hay-key) Meaning: "The earth and the sky meet or man and God become one."
