Description
If you’re craving more depth out of your yoga experience - even to the degree that you’ve considered doing a teacher training to get that richness - this traditional hatha yoga trilogy is for you.
True hatha yoga is based on the principle applications of Lunar, Solar, and Fire practices - both of which integrate asana and pranayama. This is alongside the usage of bandha, mudra, and kumbhaka. The word HATHA means "force", and is often misunderstood to be a gentle style of yoga. In fact, it is not an isolated style of yoga at all, and the PATH of Hatha yoga involves quite intense techniques that are confronting.
This accessible course offers an introduction to a general Hatha approach, giving you greater insight and richness in your practice. The sequences are influenced by the various pancha-vayus, the five winds or functions of prana. Then, you have unlimited access to the sequences themselves to have a direct experience of these teachings.
These sequences are primarily presented through the lens of postural yoga. The very short pranayama techniques offered at the end are safe to be performed for a longer period should you wish to.
While props are not essential, they can be very helpful, no matter your level of experience. The sequences are for all-levels, but please adapt and modify to your needs--especially if you're managing any injury or illness. Please reach out if you have any questions at any time!
