Dear Friend and Fellow Laborer,
You are holding in your hands one of the most important tools we have ever produced at Harvest Life Global Network. This Facilitator's Guide is not a bureaucratic manual — it is a letter from my heart to yours. It represents years of prayer, experience in the field, failures that humbled us, and breakthroughs that taught us what it truly means to equip the saints for the work of ministry.
The Five-Fold Ministry Training Manual was written to form the next generation of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. But a curriculum is only as powerful as the person who delivers it. That person is you. You are the living link between the printed page and the transformed life. Paul wrote to Timothy: "And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also" (2 Timothy 2:2, NKJV). You are one of those faithful men and women. This guide was written to help you carry that weight with excellence, wisdom, and grace.
I want to be transparent with you: this work is not always easy. You will sit across from students who carry pain, confusion, ambition, and brilliance all at once. You will face sessions that feel like they fly and others that feel like they stall. You will have moments of extraordinary clarity and moments when you wonder if you are saying anything meaningful at all. That is the nature of ministry education — and it is a holy thing. Do not be discouraged. Be faithful.
This guide will walk alongside you through all 23 chapters of the Training Manual. For every chapter, you will find specific preparation notes, session flow outlines, discussion facilitation tools, answer keys, and personal formation prompts. Use it generously. Adapt it wisely. It is a tool, not a chain.
A few things I want you to hold as you facilitate:
● Humility before expertise. You do not need to have all the answers. You need to have an honest relationship with the One who does.
● Experience matters — share it wisely. Your personal stories are among the most powerful teaching tools you carry. Use them but never let them overshadow the student's journey.
● Stay in accountability. Every facilitator in Harvest Life Global Network is expected to remain under pastoral oversight, maintain a mentor relationship, and submit session reports quarterly. This is not policy — it is the culture of honor that we are building together.
● Prepare your spirit before you prepare your slides. The most effective preparation you will do for any session is not reading your notes — it is spending time with God.
This guide can be used across a wide range of settings. Whether you are leading a 24-week weekly cohort, a monthly intensive weekend, an asynchronous online program, or a 7-day residency retreat, you will find format-specific guidance in Part One. Trust the structure but always follow the Holy Spirit.
Finally: take care of yourself. You cannot pour from an empty vessel. Build margin into your preparation weeks. Rest before intensive weekends. Debrief after heavy sessions. Your sustainability is not a luxury — it is a missional necessity. The students who sit before you next year, or five years from now, need you whole.
I am praying for you. I believe in what God is doing through Harvest Life Global Network, and I believe in you. Now go — and equip the saints.
For His glory and the harvest,
