Hi! I'm Colin...and I know that these are usually written in the third person, but I never liked the inauthenticity of the traditional bio.
So instead, I wanted to share with you why I do what I do.
First things first, it's important that you know that for the last 10 years, I have been the proud owner of Mint Condition Fitness, a personal training studio in Los Gatos, California.
This where my team and I work day in and day out to empower our members to lose weight and get out of pain so that they can do more of the things that make life meaningful (e.g. play with their grandkids, go skiing, garden, hike, etc.)
I love what we do at Mint, but I'll be honest, owning a business is stressful.
And in the last 3+ years, I have been on a transformative journey that has changed my life. The truth is, I was so focused on physical health that I somehow let my mental health slide. The result?
Daily battles with depression and anxiety...and I didn't even realize it.
Thankfully I met a coach who opened my eyes to just how bad things had gotten. Now, after 3 years of working on my mindset, I am in a better place mentally then I have been in years.
I now experience joy, peace, and love in a way that I honestly didn't know was possible. And while I still work daily to keep my mind in a good place, it's sometime shocking to think about where I was before.
And that is why I am so excited to now be in the roll of "Mindset Coach"...because I get to help others learn how to get out of their heads and start loving life again.
Life is awesome, but not when your mind is bogged down with constant fear and negativity.
Now, after 10+ years of studying fitness, nutrition, mindset, behavior change, mindfulness, stress management, and neuroscience, I am in a unique position to help others see the same results that I have seen.
