Explore a handplane 3d hero prop asset in aaa-quality in this course teaser. Preview the asset focus for learners.
Block out by matching reference shapes and perspective using the fspi addon for Blender. Use a 3D guide grid and control points to align.
Explore the midpoly process for shaping a handplane 3d hero prop asset. Maintain aaa-quality standards throughout the workflow.
Master the highpoly process to craft a AAA-quality handplane 3D hero prop asset, focusing on detail, sculpting workflow, and preparation for production pipelines.
Learn to project a logotype in ZBrush by preparing the alpha, adjusting Dynamesh geometry, and using layers, back face masking, and smoothing for a clean, embedded logo.
Achieve equal edge length on cylinder surfaces by a reliable low-poly technique: reduce the smaller cylinder’s edges threefold using center-vertex collapse, spin, and normals recalculation before boolean modifiers.
Master the lowpoly process for a handplane 3D hero prop asset to achieve AAA-quality results.
Explore UV mapping for 3d hero props by applying sharp edges and progressive shading, selecting edges by sharpness, marking seams, and packing and straightening the UV layout.
Learn to relax and straighten UVs in Blender, fix misaligned islands, and apply horizontal and vertical edge constraints for a clean, well-packed UV layout.
Export uvs from blender, pack with 16 margins and 4k resolution, set initial scale to average, then perform one normal iteration, then ten gold iterations to reach 73% uv space.
Set up baking groups in Blender, name low and high poly pieces with piece_low and piece_high, and use suffixes for Marmoset grouping to stay organized during export.
Explore the bake process for a handplane 3d hero prop asset to achieve aaa-quality results.
Learn to derive roughness from a base color for wood by creating a roughness fill, applying a black mask, and using the base color anchor to adjust levels.
Manage dirt and dust layers on the top of the texture stack, then set the blending mode to pass through and apply to all channels so underlying layers stay unaffected.
Explore texture refinement using correction layers, curve overlays, and opacity controls to darken edges, sharpen details, adjust height/normal, metal, roughness, and HSL for a polished albedo.
Discover advanced texture workflows for creating AAA-quality 3D hero prop assets, mastering efficient texture pipelines and high-detail rendering techniques.
Learn advanced texture processing for a 3D handplane hero prop asset, achieving AAA-quality results through practical techniques and workflows.
In this course, I have recorded the detailed process of creating a high-quality game asset using a modern standard production pipeline. The course is divided into videos according to the group corresponding to the stage of production. There are a total of 12 video folders in the course.
I show in detail the process of creating a game model, starting from collecting references and creating a blockout, then going through the stages of modeling midpoly, highpoly, adding details to the sculpt, creating lowpoly and baking, and ending with creating highly detailed textures, rendering and post-processing the renders.
In each folder, there are videos first, in which I briefly outline the important points. I also show you some of the tools and approaches that I use all the time. Then there are videos of the production process in real time.
