Leveraging his experience as both an elite-level gymnast and coach, Rustam Sharipov has meticulously crafted a program to propel gymnasts toward their full potential. This Parallel Bars program, led by Coach Sharipov, provides a comprehensive array of skills, drills, and training insights aimed at honing the essential elements of this event. Covered topics include fundamental grip exercises, hanging skills, support skills, basic holds and exercises, parallette drills, progressions with parallel blocks, dismount techniques, and targeted conditioning regimens. About the Coach: Rustam Sharipov, a two-time Olympic gold medalist representing Ukraine, achieved substantial success throughout his competitive career. His accolades include a team gold medal representing the Unified team in 1992 and a gold medal on the parallel bars and a bronze in the team event while representing Ukraine in 1996. Sharipov's competitive journey also encompassed numerous International and World Championships. Following his retirement from competitive gymnastics in 2000, he relocated to the United States, embarking on an illustrious coaching career. He has made significant contributions to successful programs, including the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy in Norman, OK (2000-01), the Houston Gymnastics Academy in Houston, TX (2001-05), an Assistant Coach role at the University of Oklahoma in Norman from 2005-2011, and his current position as the Head Coach at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH since 2011, solidifying his lasting impact on the world of gymnastics.
