This course began with introduction of simple logistic network between cities and then between countries. Import Export specific example from agri commodities with samples of real Bill of Lading , invoice , packing list, Phytosanitary certificate, certificate of country of origin and all other relevant documents required for import. Activities of Shipping Line , container freight station and their charges have also been discussed.
The course also covers major terminologies used in international trade. After completion of the course , traders will know hidden costs involved in import / export , identify risks, student will have feel of completing entire trade cycle for import for agri commodities in containers. After the course, student will be in a position to identify real shipping documents , do scrutiny of shipping documents, negotiate contract terms with buyer/supplier, open letter of credit from bank for purchase and can do scrutiny of Letter of credit on receipt from buyer.
