Finally found my calling during and after discarging from the Army and it wasn't for my chronic injuries. Back in late 2017 when I was 25, I started to develop hip and lower back pain, tendonapthy throughout the hips and achilles due to long distance running and triathlete training but I discover it was also from from Judo after hitting the ground a thousand times and alongside a bike accident. Injury after injury because I didnt know when to quit. To a point I couldnt walk anymore, sitting down, tie my shoe laces or even sleep for months. I've had burning sensations, stiffness, clicking, popping and there are times my leg went to sleep after a 10 min walk.
Started going to Doctors, Specialists, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, and had countless amount of X-rays, CAT scans, Ultrasounds and MRI's. The doctors and surgeons offer me heavy anti-inflammatory drugs and cortisone shots, as always the pain comes back with a vengence. Both my doctor and surgeon recommanded me surgery and said they couldnt know the main issue until they cut me open to be 100 percent sure. Despite been "diagnose" with FAI and bone deformity.
I would visit many FISIO's(PT), Chiros and massage therapists which often exacerbate the pain even worse. After spending thousands if not more thousands everything was futile and I was getting very desperate even booked for my surgery at one stage. After one year trying to get treatment with no success, stumbling online for answers, researching for many months and getting whatever program to get my hands on. Exploring Yoga, massage techniques, soft tissue , strength training and eventually accumulating all form of hip excercises from hundreds of online videos but did not put together a compact or all in one program specializing this phemenon.
This process took many months with a lot of research, trail and error, persistance and I've eventually learned how to beat the pain and unlock our hips naturally and unintrusively without surgery despite the odds!
I was treating people with success prior to joining the military and even more during and after my discharge, so I dedicated my-self becoming my own fisio. Being a soldier was very demanding and we were pretty much high performance athletes ourselves, training twice a day just about every day. So the injury rate was very high, so I tested my skills, knowledge and share with it my fellow diggers to treat themselves. I still had people lining up to be treated by me instead going to their doctor or fisio. Good times.
This was my moment, that is why I've started this course. To treat my fellow humans beings with an therapeutic solution and a alternative to physiotherapy. And to become your own personal FISIO by the end of this course.
