Julie Norman, BS (nutrition/dietetics), E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), CHC (Certified Health Coach) delights in guiding others to greater health and happiness through the path of yoga and wellness coaching. Her focus on the spiritual and energetic aspects of the yogic system equal to the physical practice gives clients soul nourishing experiences that empower growth and healing from a place of self-love which she believes is essential for both individual and collective peace. She’s a University of Akron alumni in nutrition/dietetics and a graduate of Bhumi's Yoga (Ohio's first teacher training program). Julie’s an active volunteer for Akron's Big Love Network and Safe Landing Youth Shelter. Her career as a registered dietitian in eating disorders treatment and her own recovery inspired the creation of Body Karma Healing (BKH), a signature yoga program that guides people to peace with their bodies and food to empower their dreams. In addition to classes, Julie provides wellness coaching and consulting, private and group BKH PEACE Coaching, general 1:1 yoga sessions, dynamic workshops and retreats as well as mentoring young dietitians and yoga teachers. She authored to books: Poems From The Path of Peace, Volumes 1 & 2. which are collections of poetry paired with photographs of nature's brilliance. Julie's available to speak publicly on yoga, spirituality, creativity, eating disorders, body image, stress management and wellness.
Kristie Leahy Comsia, BA (education), E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) is gifted yoga and mindfulness instructor, community organizer and lover of all things that bring people together. She is past Director of Yoga Central in Canton, Ohio managing three studio locations. Kristie’s taught over 3,000 hours of yoga to diverse populations including children of all ages, the elderly, individuals in recovery, friends in the DD population, teachers in training and more. Diversity, flexibility and adaptability are her specialties. She was introduced to yoga at the age of four by her Mom, Sylvia. This early exposure, a degree in Education and her first certification from The Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health (2011) set a strong foundation for a life-long relationship with the beautiful PATH of yoga. She is a Co-Director of the Yoga Summit of Ohio, an organization that aims to make the path of yoga more accessible and easier to understand for ALL. Kristie has additionally studied and trained in Advanced Practices of Yoga at The Asheville Yoga Center and in trauma and resiliency, mindfulness and meditation, non-violent communication, children and family specific approaches, Reiki I & II and aerial yoga. She enjoys the outdoors, travel, last-minute plan changes, a good challenge, a good laugh and lots of snuggles with her husband, two little humans and furry friends.
