Welcome to the course! Here we will teach you about setting strategic objectives, streamlining production, and increasing profits. It is important to understand why your business exists and what purpose it serves. Knowing and understanding the above things will benefit everything from your business as a whole down to the individual employees. This course will help you get your goals and mission set in order to maximise your business' growth.

This lecture delves into the leader's responsibilities as it relates to goal setting and gives an overview of how to set good goals. Goal setting increases motivation, self-esteem, self-confidence, and independence. Good goals have clarity and are on the cusp of being too difficult. Additionally, everyone needs to be on board with the goals and there should be room for feedback. If a goal is too complex, it should be broken down.
This lecture discusses ways to define success. Success means different things for you the leader and the business. Listing out what success means for each of those things and then evaluating is the next step to achieve success. You will go over how to evaluate biases stemming from personal, cultural, religious, communal, familial, and more.

This lecture helps you define where you are in the present so you can set better goals for the future. It introduces the SWOT matrix, which stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. You will complete the SWOT matrix and evaluate your current position to better assist you later.

Here, we discuss the necessity of combining the understanding of purpose with goal setting and introduce the goal tree. The goal tree has four levels: starting with a key goal on top, critical success factors on level two, the necessary conditions on level three, and the requisite requirements on level four. We go over the importance of understanding that each action can lead to a goal.

In this lecture, you will review the Goal Tree and break it down even further. We recognise that at the lowest levels of the goal tree, it can be hard to understand what step to take next, so we create order from the chaos. This order should come in the combination of being project based and business-area based. The point is to avoid too much task switching, which decreases productivity.
This lecture discusses how to effectively put your goals into action and how to integrate your goals into daily achievements within your business. There are four basic techniques. One, is to write down daily, weekly, and monthly goals. Two, is to match the task to the purpose, utilising software whenever possible. Three, is the CLAM leadership model with its six Cs of successful leadership. Four, is using team and project management software.

In the conclusion, we remind you of the importance of keeping track of your business goals. Calendarise regular reviews and go over if you are on track and what you have achieved so far. Should the goal be upgraded or downgraded? Also be sure to celebrate when you have achieved something, which is a morale booster in and of itself. By utilising the tools and techniques laid out in the previous lectures, you should be well-equipped to reach your personal and business goals.
