This is Series 1 of the Go with the Flow, Vinyasa Flow Yoga for body, mind and soul courses here at Udemy. Delivered by Certified Yoga instructor; Niamh Condron, the course consists of three, one hour long, Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes. These three classes may be repeated twice each, before moving onto the next class, or, each class may be taken sequentially, one after the other. On completion of your 3 classes, you will receive a course Certificate. This certificate acknowledges your efforts and willingness to partake in, and successfully commit to, learning how to connect your body and mind to your breath, for optimal health.
What will you learn?
During the Go with the Flow course you will learn how to move your body safely to gain strength, without unnecessary tensions. With detail to alignment and posture placement, you will be taught a variety of Yoga asanas and movement sequences. Yoga asanas are the postures and actions that, when linked together in a smart, continuous succession, can tone muscle groups and create mobility and flexibility.
You will learn how to let go of stress and become present in the moment that is, without being distracted by past events or future to-do lists. These three classes will engage you in such a way that your thoughts will soften and become still. Together, we are creating relaxation where once there may have been pressure.
You will discover how to unite the inner movement of your deep breath with the movement of your body, to learn how to enliven and invigorate your source of intrinsic energy, called Prana.
What will you gain?
The Vinyasa Flow Yoga exercises improve circulation and cleanse the body of toxins. Remember to drink plenty of water as you go along. The asanas we will practice together alleviate depression and have a calming effect on the mind. If you can, try to relax peacefully in silence after each class for 5 or 10 minutes before returning to your day.
The classes are uplifting, with a feel good factor, and will elevate your mood and boost your energy levels.
Prana is a flow of energy in your body, this energy will flow freely during your the Go with the Flow classes, and by doing so, it will help to stimulate balance in your body. You will feel there is an equilibrium within.
The Prana you will cultivate will heal and nourish your body on a cellular level.
What do you need?
A Yoga mat or a floor space that is not slippy. Have a Yoga block with you, and a Yoga strap. If you do not have these, try using one or two books stacked together in place of the block, and a towel in place of the strap. A little water to refresh.
We are ready!
Together, let's shape our bodies and mind for our future!
See you on the mat dear friend.
Who this course is for:
- All Levels welcome
- Those looking to expand their knowledge of their bodies, posture and health.
Great to meet you. I am Certified with YogaWorks, Los Angeles, California, since 2010. I hold a BA and an MA in Dance (1999/2018) and have worked in the movement, and health and fitness sectors, for all my professional life. I've been teaching Yoga, Pilates, Barre and Body Conditioning for over 20 years and it's been a completely, wonderful journey so far.
I'm from Ireland. Dublin is my first home. My name is Niamh, which is an Irish name. It's actually pronounced Neeve, because in the Irish language the last 'mh' is pronounced like a 'v'.
Throughout my career, I have travelled with my teaching work; all over Europe, and to the USA. It's been an incredible experience up till now, very awakening. I have been invited to be a teacher at various festivals and events, as well as coaching Yoga to the Irish Rubgy team, back home in Dublin.
I am currently a lecturer at the IAB Performing Arts Institute, in Barcelona, Spain. I teach on the BA course there; Body Conditioning, Yoga and Pilates. The facilities are gorgeous and it's a total joy to teach the actors and dancers studying there.
I've been teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga for 11 years. I've taught in many Yoga Studios; in Ireland, Spain and California, as well as in my own settings. I've been a teacher of Body Work and movement in a number of Dance Centres, and, I've worked as a trainer for Professional Dance Companies. Pilates, Barre and Body Conditioning are an important part of my work and I often combine these practices to create interesting and upbeat classes. Designing classes and sequences is super exciting to me, my dance background always lends a hand in that.
I am now based in Sitges, Spain, where I live with my 8 year old daughter. She is stunning, smart and takes after her mother! She dances in my Creative Dance class that I run for kids and she often comes to help me with my personal Yoga and Pilates practices by massaging my feet, or, better still; lying on top of me!
All my life's experiences of anatomy, human movement and body work merge to create your Vinyasa Flow Yoga, and, Ballet Barre Pilates classes here at Udemy. I wholeheartedly look forward to working with you and sharing the transformative moving-practices energy with you.
Teaching is my passion. Teaching is my joy. My gift to you is this. I hope to share this passion and joy with you, here at Udemy.
See you on the mat real soon,
