Managing employee performance facilitates the effective delivery of an organization’s goals and there is clear evidence that using performance management programs, systems or tools leads to improved business and organizational results. As a result, an effective performance management system or tool is essential for managing and evaluating staff, developing their competencies, improving organizational performance, and eventually achieve winning business outcomes.
Performance management is essentially a management tool that helps managers monitor and evaluate employees' work. Performance management is concerned with identifying, measuring and developing the performance of individuals and teams and aligning their performance with the strategic objectives of the organizations. Its goal is to create an environment where people can perform to the best of their abilities and produce the highest-quality work most efficiently and effectively.

A graduate in Instructional Technology from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, I continue to sharpen my skills through my membership in The Association for Talent Development (ATD) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). I have attended scores of development programs in the United Kingdom, United States and Nigeria.
