Getting to know the Srimad Bhagavad Gita
Requirements
- Knowledge of the English language would be necessary to complete this short introductory course containing five Video Lessons.
Description
A great number of people who have not read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita have certainly heard a couple of verses such as "KarmaNye vaadhikaaraste..." or "yadaa yadaa hi dharmasya glaanir bhavati bharata..." and so on. It is rather saddening to note that not everyone who claims to be a follower of the timeless and eternal Sanatana Dharma has actually read through at least the translation of all the 700 Shlokas in the 18 chapters of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, let alone the original Shlokas in Sanskrit when the truth is that it takes about three to four hours to complete reading a simple translation of the treatise in a language of one's choice.
There are also numerous messages that are forwarded by people on social media platforms, with titles such as "The Bhagvat Gita in one minute," "Understand the Gita in six steps," and so on. It is truly a pity that many people have one or more expensive and voluminous copies of Bhagavad Gita in their prayer rooms but never they get to read them as they believe that the philosophy is too deep and that they would read it after taking retirement from work.
The truth is that the Srimad Bhagavad Gita is a perfect guide to a fulfilling life for everyone, with age, gender or social status being no bar at all. It helps a true seeker learn the skill of mastering their own mind and the art of performing Karma Yoga or righteous work that does not contribute towards creating negative Karma.
Reading and understanding the Srimad Bhagavad should, in fact, be given top priority by all because one who reads and understands the philosophy taught in it, removes forever from their heart negative qualities such as fear, hare, anger, sadness, disillusionment, discontent, and many other such feelings that are foolproof ways to destroying one's own life.
I, Tavamithram Sarvada, an entrepreneur living in Europe, am a Bhagavad Gita teacher, and since February 2014, I have been working as a personal counsellor and life coach through my website that is visited by people who are mostly Indians from all over the world.
This course is aimed at helping people clear their minds of their incorrect impressions of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, 'delete' from their mind the false messages regarding the Bhagavad Gita they have been receiving through social media and getting themselves acquainted with the true rational philosophy taught in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita before taking the main course which has about eight hours of content, titled A.G.E. - A Gita Experience with Tavamithram Sarvada.
This course is free of cost. Please complete the five videos in this course before purchasing A.G.E. which will be published very soon.
May you all stay abundantly blessed.
