Once you commit, success will follow. The level of excellence is up to you.
A great TAS can help you find the gems, connect with them, pair them with the best job and keep them engaged for the long term once they’re on board.

Work on one application at a time.
Match keywords carefully from the job description with the keywords on your CV.
Beat the ATS robots!
The better your score, the more likely it is to go to a real human being. In other words, you need to write in an ATS-friendly way – it’s similar to SEO.
Be persistent: you need to put in more time than everyone else.
Contribute: show that you can give more than everyone else.
Approach: show that you care and that the job means more to you than just a job.
First Exercise:
1. Brainstorm at least 5 companies that you would like to work for.
2. Write down no more than 3 positions you'd enjoy working in.
Get Personal.
Is there a reason why we feel more obliged to respond to personalised Christmas wishes rather than the generic Christmas cards we receive from friends? The answer is YES! Personal messages can be persuasive. You can use this tactic during your job search by creating a personalised cover letter for a hiring manager.
What makes you stand out among tons of other qualified candidates?

Case Study
A study conducted in 2010 discovered that only a quarter of college graduates work in the field that relates to their degree.
Jason Shen has two degrees in biology; however, he never became a doctor or a scientist. He had to learn himself sales, marketing, strategy and even a little programming. He never had the title of project manager until he gave his CV to Etsy.
Unusual Job Application
ETSY was going public, and after reading Initial Public Offering from cover to cover, as a part of his job application, Jason built a website from scratch. This web included his analysis of the business and four ideas for the new ETSY website features. He got the job.

Success doesn’t just find you. You have to go out and get it.
We suggest the following steps when applying for a job:
1. Find the vacancy you wish to apply for.
2. Spend time matching the keywords from the job description and company values webpage to your CV. Make sure it isn't identical, but that it closely relates to some of the key requirements of the job.
3. Apply for the positions with a personalised cover letter. Refer to the recent posts on the company page or LinkedIn if possible, OR,
4. Create, attach and send an extra contribution.
5. After the interview is scheduled, get the name of the interviewers and check their latest posts. If you have not emailed them the extra contribution, do it before the interview.*
*Please note that this is not a career strategy but a job application strategy.
Is our CVs an accurate representation of:
1) Of who we really are?
2) What we are capable of?
3) Our passions and interests?
Perhaps not. For young people, it is difficult to show this as they lack keywords due to none or little experience.
There is power in personalised messages!
Use Your Cover Letter To Fill in the Gaps
If you meet at least some qualifications and are really excited about the position and confident that you would be the right choice, convey that enthusiasm in your cover letter.
Michel Gauthier interviewed a top HR director and asked him what makes an application stand out. The answer was this: a personalised cover letter.
Whoever sends a personalised cover letter, often gets a response from the hiring manager. He was shocked by the response of hiring managers who see young professionals through old-fashioned written CVs as undependable and unreliable. This perception was overcome by candidates applying with video CVs who have a 150% greater chance of being called in for an interview.
The best video CVs are video cover letters!
A video CV that conveys your personality answers the question of why you are the right person for this role in this company.
It might be the key to win the job.
Five steps to interview!
1. Define what you want to do
Based on: your practical experience, knowledge, passions and interests.
2. Define your keywords
Having your keywords right, you can find the role titles that correspond to your keywords.
3. Apply for one role at the time
It will help you to focus, know company culture better and get more insights about their expectations.
4. Give something extra
Create, give to receive! Don’t be afraid to be different.
5. Be persistent with your applications
A turtle can win the race against a rabbit! Significant, lasting and influencing changes happen in small steps! Plan well and focus on long-term benefits instead of instant results.
Make the Effort
If you believe you can do the job and are a good match, you should put yourself out there.
Read Between the Lines
Rarely a person meets every single bullet, so if you feel like you meet the core competencies, you should apply.
Show How You Can Perform
Employers like when candidates demonstrate their skills. 85 years of employment research confirmed that work samples are one of the best predictors of success on the job.
