
Welcome to this course where you will learn everything you need to know about setting up and running webinars to boost your audience and create a platform to sell your products. In the course we will be covering two types of webinars; coaching and interviews. The set up on Streamyard and Youtube are exactly the same for both, but how you prepare yourself and run each one are different.
I’ll teach you the practices, tips and techniques that I have developed for each one over many years and how I have successfully applied them in webinars to boost my own brand. I’ll be teaching you all of this in a number of practical lessons and then you will get to put it all into practice and set up and run your very own webinar interview.
You can monetise your YouTube channel once you have 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watched hours in the last 12 months. This means that YouTube will put ads on your videos and pay you a portion of that ad revenue.
Webinars or livestreams are watched much more than uploaded or pre-recorded videos on YouTube. Webinars not only boost your brand and your product sales but they will also speed up your audience growth and lead to monetisation on YouTube.

In this lesson I show you the actual numbers of audience growth on my YouTube channel as a direct result of webinars. I also show you the growth in community and boost in sales that occurs every time I ran a webinar. Webinars have been the single biggest driver of growing my student success brand from nothing just four months ago to a YouTube channel of 1.14k and a Facebook group of 550. I also show you inside my Udemy instructor page where you can see the boost in enrollments that occurs when I run a webinar and send out links to my courses.
Learn some context to the brand that I run through my webinars. It's a student success platform that focuses on helping students be successful in their studies and careers; this is the type of interviews and coaching that I do in the webinars.
During a recent holiday period I set up an amateur recording studio in a corner of the garage. This video takes you through the process to set it up for running webinars, making recordings and creating content. I was previously working out of a corner of the dining room so this studio is a huge improvement to help me create better content. In this course I show you an actual interview webinar and an actual coaching webinar. You will see from my video backgrounds that the coaching webinar was presented from my new studio (as was the lessons in this course).
My son helped me with some of the woodworking measurements and my daughter helped me with sewing the backdrop. You don't have to have a studio to run webinars that will grow your audience. You just need internet, PC, camera and mic, plus a space where you can focus on coaching or interviewing. This course will give you everything else you need to know and I suggest you just start with what you have and as you grow, so you can improve your space and your equipment.

I’m sure you have been in an interview, or at least seen an interview happen. Maybe it was a job interview or you watched an interview on TV or you may even have attended an interview live and in person. You may even have had training on interviews. In one of my other courses I teach job applicants how to conduct themselves in an interview to improve their chances of getting a job. The job interview is one type of interview and there are many other kinds such as a panel interview, competency interviews, traditional interview, research interviews etc. At the core, an interview is really one or or people asking someone a series of questions with some sort of intended outcome in mind.
It’s important that your guest gets value from being in an interview with you. If they are going to spend an hour of their time, it must be important for them. There are different types of guest goals, and this is part of your consideration for actually choosing the guest up front. You want to choose a guest whose goals you know you can achieve with a webinar interview. Even if you don’t have a wide network, I’ll show you how you can get guests for your webinar interview, what their goals are likely to be and how you can achieve them.

In this lesson you will go step by step with me through one of my own webinar interviews. I point out some of the techniques I use (and some of the things I didn't do so well!) You will get a firsthand view of what your audience will see when you run your webinar interview plus you will learn some insights about how to handle webinar interviews by seeing how I did it in a real example. You will see the StreamYard features like banners and ticker-tapes, as well as how you can feature a chat message on the main screen to highlight it and talk about it. Most importantly I show and tell throughout the interview exactly how the techniques you use should always aim to achieve the goals of the audience, your guest and yourself.
In this lesson you will get a firsthand experience of how to run a coaching webinar. I go step by step with you through an actual event and point out all the techniques of presenting / teaching / displaying slides and interacting with your audience. You will see how to interact with chat comments in a way that reinforces your message and your brand, plus you will see how to get and emphasize social proof from your webinar audience. You will see how to link in your sales and brand promotion with calls to action that flow directly from audience interaction, the topics you are teaching and the goals of your audience. You will also see my slides and how I design and present these such that the webinar feels like an introduction to my courses so that I build trust with my audience and they are prepped and willing to sign up during and immediately after the webinar.
