In this session, I show you how to create a Udemy account in instructor mode and how to launch a course.
In this lecture, I show you how to find a course idea and we see together what the competition can do.
My mantra: "Get started before you're ready"!
You don't need to be an expert on a subject to share your knowledge. You just need to have a strong desire to teach your knowledge and SHARE what you have learned.
I fill in the course details with you.
In this session I am explaining the technical part! You will see that it is very simple to film yourself and your screen at the same time. I advise you to practice in front of the camera before you start recording.
It is easier to speak when you have a support on the screen.
In this session, I will introduce you to APOWERREC for filming yourself.
Here we see the Canva software to build great slideshows very easily!
In this session, I give you tips for lectures that do not require filming your screen or a diaporama but a presentation where you have to appear entirely on the screen (sports class for example).
Here we see the Pixabay site that allows you to download free videos that you can use to edit your courses.
I present here a very simple editing software, Movavi.
It is compatible with Mac and PC and costs almost 60$.
If you have a Mac, you can of course use IMovie which is also very easy to use and free on your computer.
I fill in the curriculum and the course landing pages details with you.
I explain how to create an attractive image for your course, with Canva.
In this session, I show you how to choose a price for your course. You can choose to make it free for a week or two to get your first students and reviews, and then change the price later on.
You will also see where to put your Paypal details to get paid and how much you can expect to earn on the platform.
I show you in all transparency how much I earn on Udemy.
Here I show you how I edit my introduction. I choose to do it at the end of the course to have a full overview of the course and to be able to synthesize it more easily. I use the rushes from each of my lectures to put them together and show on the screen everything the student will learn.
Here, I proofread my entire course, making sure that there are no spelling mistakes and that each video corresponds to each lecture.
I then send the course for validation. You will then have to wait a few days for your course to be validated.
If it is not, you will receive an email with the things to correct.
