General Business English

If you're looking to improve your Business English skills, increase your speaking and listening confidence, and engaging short videos then this is the course for you! In this course you will learn Business English for general use when speaking to other native English speakers. You will be able to impress your coworkers with your knowledge and skill after this course!

Important note: This is something I tell all of my students no matter the level, do not be so afraid of speaking/interacting with English speakers for fear of what you think your skill level is. Personally I believe that while having a large vocabulary and strong grasp of grammar skills is important it is not as important as pronouncing your words correctly! Just as in your language someone may have incorrect sentence structure but if they are saying the words correctly they are able to get their point across enough for people to understand them; same concept applies! You will get better, everything just takes time!

In this course:

• You will learn 40 new vocabulary words and examples for each while also learning new grammar rules to make you sound more natural, but also more professional.

• The videos are around 5-10 minutes long to make it easier for you to practice.

• There will be examples for the vocabulary words as well as grammar rules.

• Pronunciation and enunciation will be highlighted.

• There will be knowledge checks after them to help you remember what you have learned.

• There will be a final assignment at the end to further help you master your Business English skills and increase your confidence in your speaking and listening skills.

Joining this course will not only help you accomplish everything listed above but also prepare you for my other courses that go more in depth into the Business English speaking world. In later courses I teach you the difference between English speakers from different parts of the world and what interactions with them might be like; cultural differences. This can come in the form of different phrasal verbs or phrases that these English speakers use, what they mean, and how/when they use them. This is an incredibly useful skill to have in our ever changing online world! E-commerce and interactions with people from all over the world is only increasing so it is very important to be able to communicate with people from different backgrounds and cultures to accomplish common goals.
