Begin your gecko warrior in Nomad Sculpt by blocking out head, body, and tail, refining forms with symmetry, voxel remesh, and drag, then export to Blender for high-quality renders.
Learn to sculpt expressive ears, design a mouth with a tongue, and populate teeth using symmetry, mask, trim, and voxel remesh in Nomad Sculpt.
Build symmetrical cheeks and eye sockets with clay, shape the eyes and nose, refine the mouth and teeth, and pose the arms in preparation for the sword.
Model a knight's sword in Nomad Sculpt, forming the handle, blade, and hilt with boxes, bevels, and rounded edges, then craft gripping fingers using spheres and symmetry.
Explore fins and toes creation in Nomad Sculpt: arrange fingers, apply symmetry, clone and mirror fins, trim and voxel remesh toes, and refine creases for a polished model.
Create a nomad sculpt character with eyelashes and facial details, then light with key, fill, and spotlight, switch from matcap to pbr, and apply a green color palette with post-process.
Apply final touch-ups in Nomad Sculpt, adjust colors (belly lighter, back darker), refine subsurface textures and metalness, and fine-tune lighting for print and renders.
If you're familiar with Nomad Sculpt and are looking to start sculpting on a more advanced level, this is the class! We'll start with a sphere and create a full character design referenced from a 2D Sketch. Currently running Nomad Sculpt v1.76
We'll cover
Blocking the shapes using primitives
When to voxel merge / when not to
Using various tools to achieve the details and look we want
Keeping our model efficient in size
Lighting
Coloring
Post Process and Rendering
I'll be using an iPad Pro 2021, but Nomad is available on many different tablets/devices: We won't get too high with vertices, so most devices shouldn't have any issues with the project. I've also included some extras like my Custom environment, image samples, and the final Nomad file that you open, examine, and reference as needed!
This is the perfect class for those interested in creating 3D model characters and also for 3D print style characters.
This class is also perfect for those looking to learn how to model/sculpt for miniatures as well! Whether you’re familiar with 3D modeling, or just getting started, nomad sculpt is a really fun way to sculpt anywhere anytime. You can also export files to other applications like Blender to continue to work with your sculpts as you need.
