Description

We'll give you a brief introduction to game design and explain everything you need to know as a beginner. We've created the course for people who want to participate in our Game Jam, however, it is also suitable for beginners who want to know more about game design and get a hands on start in some of the platforms that are frequently used. This course covers 5 important concepts to know about game design, 10 principles of level design, interpreting the feeling of progression, music theory for gaming, the use of Bosca Ceoil for soundtracks and the use of Pixil Art for pixel asset design. After the completion of this course, you will be eligible to understand the design principles of a simple game for Game Jam. We highly encourage you to further your knowledge in game design after completing this course. We also encourage you to leave a constructive feedback so that this course could be updated and improved. This course is followed by the course on Unity game development and coding which will be available soon.
