In this lecture I am going to show you how you can retopologise the base mesh we just created this will forn the lowres version and it is very important to practice this technique, specially note the edgeloop flow around the mough and eyes this is great for animation as everything will pull i the correct direction when we deform or animate it, Although I do not cover animation in this course it is still good practice!!!!

in this lecture we will set up the polygroups, later in the course this will help us not only with isolating sections of our model but will also allow us to set up UV maps into seperate islands as well as that it will also be used as a colour ID in substance painter!

Lets create the teeth for our model, we want a simple mesh for this so we will start with a simple cube, pay attention to the deletion of the faces we do this to cut down the number of polys and simplifiy our model, the rule is if you cannot see it delete it!! (but be carefull if youe animating some faces might be visible on deformations, just something to be aware of!)

Lets add the Minion Hair to this guy, later in the course your see that we only use one side of the hair and mirror it so we use less texture space, as both are identcal we dont need to produce two UV maps positions.

As you can see we are getting quite a few subtools building up in our Minion so as to try to make it as clear as possible we are going to do a side project of a Carrot!

OK now we have modelled our carrot I am now going to retopologise it and also project the detail from high to low resolutions version.
this is a fundamental skill you should know, those of you that have taken other courses of mine will be familar with this method.

Right the carrot is a great way to introduce you to UV layout inside Zbrush, lets create a UV set and also show you how to take it out of Zbrush to Photoshop for Texturing.
Lets now polypaint our carrot inside ZBrush is great and versatile in the face you can bring outside textures into ZBrush and then use tose textures to bake them back into the model or vica versa.

Now we are going to take another detour into another mini project this time we will take a 3D scan of a fox skull and turn it into a low resolution piece of usable geometry.
In this lesson we will export this one subtool out into Substance painter because it is just one subtool its going to be pretty straight forwards, however we will get more complex later using the naming conventions to help create out Normal Map without any artifacts projecting to other tools, more on that later.

Just a quick side step whilst we are in the exporting and importing stage I wanted to show you how to export normally from ZBrush and merge the maps if you have set up a UV set, this is good to know as these files can still be used for Game as you have done all your texturing inside ZBrush itself!
