Master more than ten design concepts in Fusion 360 with seasoned instructor Jae Ro, sharing hidden tips and tricks to sharpen your 2D sketching and 3D modeling skills.
Design an ice cube tray in Fusion 360 by sketching a center rectangle on a horizontal plane, extruding to a new body, and adding fillets and shell.
Master the hex nut design in Fusion 360 by sketching a circumscribed hexagon with a central circle, adding a thread, revolving, and mirroring across a midplane.
Create a diamond in fusion 360 by building a 3d sketch on a plane, applying angular dimensions, extruding and tapering sections, repeating with a circular pattern, and rendering.
Design a pokeball in Fusion 360 by building two bodies, applying a shell, offset planes, and press pull operations, then apply appearances and render.
Sketch a simple funnel in a vertical plane, offset the region, and revolve it. Add a small handle, project sketches, apply push/pull, add fillets, and adjust appearance.
Design a geometric planter in Fusion 360 by sketching a circumscribed polygon with origin, projecting and patching surfaces, stitching into a solid, then applying a plastic shell.
Design a Pinterest pyramid in Fusion 360 by sketching a triangle, offsetting a plane, locating the centroid, lofting a prism, shelling, and adding three holes with mirror.
Create a 3d vase by sketching in 3d space, lofting between a larger and a smaller rectangle, and defining rails to shape the form.
Learn to design a calculator in Fusion 360, choosing between the design workspace and render workspace, build a display and keypad, and apply appearance and text.
Design a plummer block in Fusion 360 by creating cap, casting, and center block components, adding bolt holes, bolts, and nuts, then grounding and assembling with joints.
Design a fidget spinner in Fusion 360 by building a multi-component assembly, sketching concentric circles, applying constraints, using circular patterns, and defining joints and grounding.
Welcome to the course of "Fusion 360 Design Concepts". In this course, you will learn about various 3D design concepts in Fusion 360 comprehensively. This course is taught by a Fusion 360 certified user & AutoDesk certified professional having 10+ years of design experience.
What is covered
10+ design (non-technical) concepts including Fidget spinner, Pokeball, Geometric planter, Diamond, Painter's pyramid etc. The idea behind creating this course came from feedback from several students who wanted some cool designs for a change. By taking this course, you will be able to brush up your knowledge of Fusion 360 & also learn a lot of new things.
Class Level - Beginner to Intermediate
If you are a complete beginner to Fusion 360, This class might not be for you. You need to have some fundamental knowledge of 2D Sketching & 3D modelling.
Pre-requisite Commands
Sketching commands like Circle,Rectangle,Arc,Polygon are used quite frequently along with the Project command which projects bodies & components to existing sketch. 3D modelling tools like extrude, revolve, shell, fillet are also frequently used. Construct toolbar for creating axis & planes & Inspect toolbar for measurements are of equal importance.
Each & every design & assembly is explained in a very simple language so that students from every region can understand. You can download corresponding .f3d files in resources.
Believe me,You will start creating your own design projects right after completing this class.
