Introducing the tutorial set to give you a general overview of this course .
Deconstructing the course outline and methodology to give you a better understanding of the necessity to enroll.
First Appendix explains the process of mapping textures on objects and why you need this skill.
You will get an explanation of unwrapping by examples.
The second appendix shows you the many advantages of using the slate material editor.
You will understand the greater ease of using this editor rather than the compact mode.
We start the project by modeling the stool. You will see various approaches to model each piece depending on its type. You will explore the cloth modifier and its use in making the seat look realistic.
We will unwrap the model using the new skill we learned "Unwrap UVW". You will see the real life application of this modifier on a multi element 3D object.
This will make the texturing process easier for you.
Here we will build the first group of multi-sub object materials in the Slate editor that you learned earlier.
You will see the difference between a multi-sub object material, a vray material and various types of maps.
You will speed up the material creation process tremendously.
Here we will lay out a studio light setup; you will see the different controls for lights, the physical camera setup and its proper exposure control system. In addition you will see an interesting way to layout a background to reflect light back at the model.
We will input test rendering settings and create our first series of test renders.
You will speed up your workflow by testing your renders with low value settings and rounded presets.
Here we will go through adding finishing touches over our high resolution rendered image.
You will see a quick system for doing this inside 3ds max with no need for a third party program.
Here we will tweak our created material to fit a new purpose.
You will see how easy and clear it is to modify a material in the Slate editor.
This part will show you how easy it is to modify your previous model into another with a different purpose.
You will switch from a stool into a table very quickly and efficiently.
Here we will create a whole new piece based on the old one.
You will apply all what you have learned so far in this course.
This is "La creme de la creme" grand finally of the course.
You will take this newly created model and render it into a high quality image, along with the post processing part.
A final message to you my good students.
This course is the first in a series aimed towards Architects, Designers and Animators.
Here you will develop your skill set in both 3 D studio max and V ray.
You will enhance your ability to create impressive models and presentation renders.
The hands on method will help you learn by example; nothing is skipped even the mistakes that I made.
The Second phase of the course takes a different rout:
By the end of the course you should be able to model any similar piece with much ease and save loads of time,
this will build up to increase your skills and revenue.
