in this video, you can watch me play Fur Elise in its entirety. It's always a good idea to listen to a piece carefully before learning how to play.
As you go through the lessons, come back to this video and compare the way I play it to how you are playing it. After you learn how to play each movement, try to start "feeling" the music. Practice playing it with an even tempo, even if this means you have to play it much slower at first. If you have trouble playing at a quicker tempo, use a metronome. Start at a tempo that you're very comfortable with, and increase the tempo little by little over a period of 1 to 2 weeks until you can play it flawlessly at a faster speed. Never sacrifice the quality of the performance for a faster tempo. Slow and steady is always better than fast and messy!
This course consists of 11 videos that will teach you how to play Beethoven's Fur Elise in its entirety.
Fur Elise is a great song choice for beginners for the following reasons:
This course is broken into 11 videos: 3 videos for the first movement, 4 videos for the second movement, and 4 videos for the third movement.
Here are some of the reasons why you would want to choose this course over other courses that teach the same song:
Ideally, it's best if you learn the song on a piano, but a keyboard can also be used. The first 2 movements can be played with a small keyboard. the end of the third movement requires at least a 76 key keyboard (a piano has 88 keys). It will also sound best if you have a pedal.
At the end of this course, you will be able to play Fur Elise in its entirety - all three movements. And with some practice, you will be able to play the song flawlessly.
