I work with health driven people to find clarity in a sea of conflicting information on health and wellness by helping them embody evidence informed fitness, yoga, and meditation methods so they can be in control of their own body and mind, and teach others to do the same.
This is a complete functional anatomy training for students of the human body who are seeking to empower themselves through a deeper confidence in their own innate power as a human being, through movement, breathing, and self awareness. This course is intended to fill the foundational requirements of teaching any student and teacher of movement everything they need to know to effectively practice yoga, fitness, sports, or anything else in an optimal way which is pain free and integrated.
After taking countless anatomy trainings of my own in the yoga, fitness, and higher educational worlds I have realized that memorization of muscles and actions is not important for understanding how a living breathing human being actually walks, runs, jumps, and moves. This training focuses on joint mechanics as the underlying axis of motion, and on principles of the various types of tissues (muscular, connective/fascia, cartilage, etc.) and how they respond to stress. You will learn to critically evaluate your beliefs about the human body, and be able to critique claims from outside sources by empowering yourself through education.
