Description

Hello, my name is Abigail Summers, and at the time this course was created I was a 3rd year entry level occupational therapy doctoral student at Drake University. Over the past 14 weeks, I have completed a doctoral capstone project & experience in collaboration with SetWorks, under the mentorship of Co-CEO David Lindell and Client Success Manager Jocelyn Leatherman.

This session is the result of that project—a guided exploration of electronic health record (EHR) systems in occupational therapy, including compliance requirements, documentation trends, and how software design impacts occupational therapy workflows. Together, we’ll examine real-world data, market research, and user feedback to better understand the needs of occupational therapy professionals and how those needs are (or aren’t) being met by current EHR platforms. Attached to this course are the mentioned artifacts that I completed throughout this course for you to review on your own after completion of this Udemy course.

ACOTE, the accrediting body for occupational therapy programs, requires that the final capstone project be disseminated, and Udemy is an approved option for students to disseminate content. Please see the ACOTE website or the Drake University Occupational Therapy program page for questions about program curriculum and requirements. If any questions arise about this Udemy course.

Who this course is for:

  • This course was created to meet ACOTE standards for dissemination of a student capstone project. This course will contain valuable content for individuals interested in occupational therapy, intellectual/developmental disability community, health tech, and documentation burden among allied healthcare professionals.
