This is the first part of Day 1. You will learn how word words are broken down into syllables and how to identify stressed syllables, and finally how to pronounce words correctly.
In this section, you’ll learn how to identify and apply correct word stress patterns in English. Discover the simple rules that guide which syllable to stress in nouns, verbs, adjectives, and compound words. You’ll also practice with real-life examples to improve your pronunciation, clarity, and fluency. By the end of this module, you’ll be able to pronounce words naturally and confidently, reducing Mother Tongue Interference (MTI) in your speech.
In this section, you’ll learn to recognize and accurately pronounce English vowel and consonant sounds. Through guided drills and practical exercises, you’ll correct common errors caused by Mother Tongue Interference and build a strong foundation for clear, confident speech.
This section focuses on how to use sentence stress to create the natural rhythm of spoken English. You’ll learn to identify which words to emphasize (content words) and which to keep light (function words). Through real-life sentence practice, you’ll develop the flow and expressiveness that make English sound clear, confident, and natural.
In this section, you’ll explore how intonation—the rise and fall of the voice, works together with rhythm to bring speech to life. You’ll learn how to use rising and falling tones to ask questions, make statements, and express emotions clearly. By mastering intonation and rhythm, you’ll make your English sound more fluent, expressive, and globally intelligible.
As the final stage of this course, you’ll put everything you’ve learned into practice by delivering a short speech. This project is designed to help you apply your mastery of word stress, sentence stress, intonation, rhythm, and correct sound production in real spoken English.
