This first video will give students an introduction to the instructor and the main components of the course which will include written lecture, videos, and quizzes to help you develop speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills in French.
Dr. Jean-Denis is fluent in French with multiple DELF Certifications and years of teaching experience. The course will begin with pronunciation exercises and familiarization with vocabulary before skill building and scenarios.
In this section, I will pronounce several words and phrases in French to warm students up to the course. It is important to work on pronunciation while building your vocabulary. A hint of the pronunciation is in Bold. Students should continue increasing their vocabulary through reading, watching movies, and practicing with colleagues.

This video contains several helpful adjectives and adverbs in French with pronunciation and translation as students learn more about different contexts when you might use them in conversation and writing. In the DELF exam preparation later in the course, the instructor will utilize some of these adjectives and adverbs that students will see in any French magazine or book.
Thus far students have reviewed some pronunciation, and vocabulary. In this next section, we will cover utilization of more advanced conversation, and writing that you may encounter in the future. There is an attached article which will prepare students for speaking and writing in French.
Next, students will hear the instructor discuss several common verbs as he pronounces and translates them. You may be familiar with some of these verbs but keep building your list of verbs that you may need in conversation and correspondence.
Ultimately, the instructor will provide in the video a short essay that contains various verbs conjugated in different tenses for a story about a French king. For letters, emails, and the DELF exam it will be important to understand how to conjugate verbs and write them correctly.

The DELF exam is one of the most important and respected language exams in the world. As the instructor mentions in the video, passing the DELF B1 and/or B2 provides one with access to study, work, and travel opportunities. These exams could fulfill the linguistic requirements to work or study in France although it depends on the University program or career path which may require a higher level if you are in a technical, specialized field. The instructor covers the components, timing, and instructions of the exam here before he discusses each of the 4 sections in subsequent videos.

The final video is a short conclusion message which invites students to reach out to the instructor. There is a downloadable final exercise of an email in French which Dr. Jean-Denis translates to English. Read it in French first and try to understand it then read the English translation.

This course has roughly 1 hour and twelve minutes of video and is designed to be taken over a 7-day period to digest the process of improving your ability to speak, comprehend, and write in French. There will be exercises, homework, and real questions from the DELF Exam where you can practice the skills necessary to potentially pass and become competent in the French language. By the end of the course, you will also feel more confident about your communication skills and be excited about practicing on a consistent basis to perfect them moving forward.
