Please take your time with this course. It isn't designed to be rushed through in one afternoon or one week. The videos may be short, but the content is rich and powerful.
It's a journey that will begin to open your mind to a new way of seeing your voice (and life).
Give yourself plenty of space and quiet time to reflect on each lecture. Journalling can be really useful if you like to write things down, or simply sit in quiet contemplation / meditation.
The more honest you can be with yourself, the greater the transformation.
Also start to become aware of people and situations in your everyday life.
Who and what triggers you? (e.g. maybe there are specific people or situations that always get under your skin)
What are the patterns and themes? (e.g. I always attract selfish, mean people)
It's all information to help you understand yourself in a much deeper way.
This powerful and transformational work will just keep giving!
In this first lecture, we explore your ego mind and how its main job is to keep you safe (physically and emotionally).
Understanding the nature of your ego mind will help you to make sense of your persona / shadow, as they all work together to allow you to feel safe in the world.
Your ego is committed to you seeking what's comfortable (your current circumstances) and avoiding what's uncomfortable (leaving your comfort zone).
I have included some additional materials in this section to help with your understanding:

- Ego Toolkit - some of your ego's favourite tricks to keep you in your comfort zone.
Refer back to these resources as you go through the other lectures.
In this second lecture we begin to explore your persona and how your vocal habits have been (unconsciously) created to support / reinforce your persona.
Nothing is "good" or "bad", it's more about bringing awareness to how your ego is trying to keep you safe (and limiting your voice).
Only with this new found awareness can you begin to bring more conscious choice to "how" you use your voice in any circumstance, and start to experience more freedom of expression.
There are two worksheets to complete in this section which include specific questions to ask yourself:

Take your time with these, don't rush!
In this third lecture we explore your shadow and how this shows up in what you avoid, what you criticise and what you idolise.
Just know this will likely be the most challenging lecture, as your ego doesn't want you to uncover these shadow aspects of yourself. It will heavily defend you going there. Refer back to your ego's toolkit (lecture 2).
This will then be reflected in the vocal habits you're consciously trying to cultivate (maybe you've had some voice lessons or went on a public speaking workshop), but the changes don't seem to last.
Only when you reclaim these rejected parts of yourself, can you begin to create lasting change.

In this final lecture we explore what it really takes to speak with "true" confidence vs. "fake" (ego-driven) confidence.
One of the biggest challenges all speakers face (to a greater or lesser extent) is nerves and anxiety when public speaking.
However as you begin to integrate your shadow, this "true" confident self naturally emerges...a by-product of which is your authentic speaking voice.

Final word...
This is a process, a journey. It isn't completed in one afternoon, one week or one month. The more you integrate your shadow and take radical responsibility for what's showing up in your life, the more true freedom, peace and confidence you'll feel.
Your authentic speaking voice will naturally follow, as you'll no longer be at war within yourself.

Your voice never lies! It's always communicating what you really think and feel about yourself at the deepest level.
For this reason when you speak, your clients, customers, team, listeners and / or audience will respond to your speaking voice from the unconscious messages it's conveying.
This is why you might intend one thing, but get the opposite result. e.g. I'm ready for greater success and visibility, but my voice lacks power, energy and expression. No one listens to me when I speak, I feel ignored and invisible.
As Swiss psychologist Carl Jung famously said, "until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."
Your unconscious mind is ultimately driving your voice. Meaning you've unconsciously created your current vocal habits to support what you really believe about yourself (your self-concept), even if it doesn't make sense to your logical (ego) mind.
This is why just working on vocal exercises / vocal technique alone, will never create lasting change. You might temporarily get through a meeting or presentation, but you'll eventually just revert back to your old vocal habits.
You're still working on the surface and haven't connected to the truth of who you really are.
To create lasting change, you must explore unconsciously what you've been pushing away and reclaim those hidden parts of yourself.
This course is designed to awaken you to how your "survival" ego mind is currently driving your vocal habits (and life).
Specifically we'll explore your...
voice persona and how this supports the public face you currently show to the world.
voice shadow and what parts of yourself (both your "light" and "dark") you've rejected, denied or avoided.
your true voice and how to begin to integrate all parts of yourself, so you truly feel confident when public speaking.
As you begin to reclaim and integrate all parts of yourself, your true authentic speaking voice naturally begins to emerge.
