Félix Santos Guindel was born July 30, 1952, in Madrid. He studied Musical Harmony from the age of 7-14 with the German professor Marianne Storml and percussion from the ages of 12-14 with the Italian Drummer, Renato Altomare.

Felix’s professional music studies were realized at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he specialized in “Electric Guitar” and “Film Scoring”. He graduated in 1974 and received the Honor of Suma Cum Laude. That same year he returned to Madrid and began to perform at the most prestigious clubs of the 1970’s in Spain - venues such as Balbo Jazz, Whiskey Jazz and Bombardino.

He joined numerous radio and televisión programs such as “Jazz entre amigos”(Jazz among Friends) presented by Juan Claudio Cifuentes, “Cifu”, where he presented monographs. In addition, he collaborated in recordings with Andres Olaegui (Guadalquivir), Juan Cerro and Jorge Pardo among others. Likewise, he performed on countless radio programs such as Jazz International (Radiocadena Español) or “La Buena Musica” from R.N.E. and he also worked as a studio musician for some of Spain’s most important studios - Red Led, Truck, Sonoland, Kirios, and Eurosonic to name a few.

In 1979, he began to give classes for various instruments, harmony and composition. The most famous musicians, instrumentalists and composers of Spain have had contact with his instruction and methods.

Furthermore, he was an advisor and technical writer for Real Musical until the publication was discontinued in 2004. As a result he created his own publication, SERIE JAZZ.
