I have personally come across Lemurian quartz that I believe to be very real, and quartz being sold as Lemurian quartz, that just feels somehow flat in comparison. No matter what, all quartz is highly sensitive to energies, and the Lemurian energies and wisdom can be called in and imprinted into it with intention and meditation.

Obsidian Meaning and Spiritual Properties

Obsidian, a stone as dark as the night sky, has a glassy mirror face that for ages has mesmerized those who dare to explore its depths. Black Obsidian was once revered by Mayan civilizations as a sacred tool for divination, a practice that used stones to gain insights or answers to questions, in this case, with its mirror like quality, is like looking deep into a mirror of the soul. The Aztecs, too, held Black Obsidian for both protection and prophecy. The word "obsidian" comes from the Latin word "obsidianus." This term is believed to originate from the name Obsidius, a Roman who supposedly discovered this type of volcanic glass in Ethiopia.

Obsidian: A Stone of Reflection, Shadow Work & Transformation

Obsidian is often chosen as a crystal tool for deep reflection, shadow work, transformation, and protection.

So although we call it a crystal, obsidian is not actually a crystal. In the alchemical cauldron of Earth, obsidian is born of rapid volcanic transformation. It forms when lava cools so quickly that there is no time for crystals for form, giving it instead what is called an amorphous nature.
