The Last Decade
I was previously the CTO of Teambox and OneClass. I've been a full-stack developer specializing in Ruby on Rails where in the last decade I've build 30+ web-applications.
For a while I ran my own development firm but grew tired of building web-apps and wanted to get back to my passion of education.
The Day I Became AWS Obsessed
One day I was setting up a twitter bot for my open-source swap-n-pop and I spun up an ElastiCache server on AWS. A month went by I forgot about the server and then I was hit with a bill of $4000 USD from AWS. I felt so stupid I could make such a silly mistake and so I then vowed that I would become an AWS Gladiator and earn every AWS Certification possible.
The AWS Study Struggle
After using multiple services such as ACloudGuru, LinuxAcademy, WhizLabs and QwiksLabs to study for certification I felt their material fell short to help me prepare for the exams and I ended up creating my own study material.
Fun Facts
I live in the Greater Toronto Area and its easy to run into me at local developer meetups. I love Star Trek DS9 and Babylon 5 and I'm own a variety of retro video games and consoles. Tetris Attack for the SNES is my favourite game of all time.
