Foundations of No Gi Grappling: Concepts and Theories brought to you by 10th Planet Black Belt Corey Guitard is designed to deepen your understanding of No Gi Grappling by providing a framework of theories, concepts, and skills that will greatly accelerate your ability to learn grappling techniques and to apply them effectively.
The goal of this instructional is to help you build a foundation of widely applicable knowledge specific to grappling, as well as a key set of skills, upon which you’ll be able to build a formidable and well-organized system of techniques that allow you to optimize your unique approach to Jiu Jitsu. We hope that this course can help you to develop a deeper understanding of the fundamental theories of the art, and to gain a better grasp of the underlying principles that dictate and guide all the moves you will learn to use on the mats.
By working through this course, you will increase both the quality of your learning and your rate of progression. Instead of simply memorizing a variety of moves, you will be able to add the moves you really need, while also solving problems heuristically during your training sessions and competitive matches.

Our primary goal at Jiu Jitsu X Factor is to provide a user-friendly platform for jiu jiteiros to learn in a way that works best for them. To facilitate their learning and development in a way that works best for them. We want jiu jiteiros to individualize their own learning, which will enable them to improve at rates that exceed the norm.
Distilled into a single sentence, Jiu Jitsu X Factor exists to help you evolve your BJJ game as much as possible in the least amount of time possible.
Corey Guitard is a professional grappler and full-time jiu jitsu instructor. He is the first black belt under Louis Ho. Corey is an IBJJF No-Gi Pan American champion (Master 1, brown belt), a NAGA World Champion, a Rickson Gracie Cup NY Champion, a FUJI NY Open Champion, a 2x Grappling Industries Absolute Champion and a 2x SAU Absolute Champion.
He has competed and has victories under professional grappling organizations such as Finishers Sub Only, Global Grappling League, Ultimate Mat Warriors, and he is currently the Montreal Fight League middleweight grappling champion.
Despite being a successful competitor, Corey’s true calling is instruction. He has a background in teaching at the university level and he has succeeded in transferring his educational skill set to the mat, where he uses a world-class methodology to teach cutting-edge techniques.
Corey specializes in open guard, pressure passing, the front headlock, and taking the back. Corey also holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and is a certified personal trainer.
