Experience and judgment are necessary, but they are not sufficient. In a crisis, a leaders’ credibility, success and future reputation are built on service, problem-solving, courage, character, humility, empathy, collaboration and imagination.

Great leaders know their strengths, weaknesses and effects on the people they lead. They set a good example and model good behavior. One way to become more self-aware is to seek feedback from those people.
