One of most important parts of algorithmic trading is having enough historical data to generate strategies that are predictable and robust. In this lecture, we explain why that is.

The game changer. Strategy builders are the software packages we use to create the strategies that form the foundation of our Expert Advisors (Robots). We will share with you a brief history of strategy builders, and explain why we use Expert Advisor Studio, the best one currently available.

In this lecture, we will show how to export historical data from your broker, and import it into the strategy building software so you can generate strategies using the most accurate data available from the broker of your choice

Not all brokers are created equal. Having a large amount of historical data ensures you can generate strategies based on changing market conditions and the strategies can be back tested over a very long time period. The FREE Historical Data app shown in this lecture has by far, the most historical data available, and is available to you, at no cost

Now that you have selected the Expert Advisors that you will be testing, you need to place them on your charts. We show you, step by step, how to quickly and easily copy them onto your platform, and get them to start trading for you

Our EAs have been running on all of our platforms for a few, and we have some results to compare. Let's do this!

As we've seen, our EAs have not performed exactly the same on each of the broker's platforms, due to the commission, swap and spread. It's very important to compare, so we know which broker yields the best results using the Expert Advisors, to maximize our profits

Market conditions change constantly, so we need to regularly analyse our EAs to see which are performing best in current market conditions, and update our live platform accordingly. We use FX BLue, a free, online application to look at all of the statistics, and choose the best EAs to add to our live platform

Installing a 2nd demo platform, to practice live trading is highly recommended before trading on a live account. Don't rush into live trading - it can be risky, but practicing on a demo account, testing and implementing strategies on a 2nd demo account could save you much pain and frustration. There are a few tricks to opening a 2nd demo account from the same broker, and in this video, we share them with you.
